Hi all,

Would using an LED with both Veg and Bloom lights switched on during seedling and early veg stages have a detrimental effect? I have a setup where I have plants at various stages and since switching to LED I am struggling to pull the same yields I did with my good old hps.

The LEDS I have are not top of the range but from what I have read still pretty good. I use a mixture of Mars and Vipar reflectors. 2 x 450s and 1 x 180 ufo in a 1.2 x 1.2 m space and they just don't compare to my 600w hps.

Yes you can use both veg and bloom but don;t have the seedling to close to the lights for the first two weeks.

That is full spectrum and I start and finish my grows with full spectrum and led lights on continuously. Auto's do not have any light restrictions.

I used to get far better results with hps 600w on 18/6 before switching to LEDS running 24/7.

Maybe it's the quality of the LEDS.

I do keep the seedlings at considerable distance.

Thanks ks for the input guys.
