Does it really make a big difference? I'm got my eye on the c900 (draws 468w) but I'm also looking at two v400's (206w each). I hate all this indecisiveness!!!!

Have you or anyone ran a side by side test with led's pointing directly down and led's at each side crossing over? I need convincing that it's benifical to run 2

Also, I am right in thinking that more light is better aren't I? As in more watts will get you more bud (along with grower skills obviously). I just smoked some seriously good kush and I'm doubting what I'm thinking lol

I can only base it on what I've found so far and a lot is guess work;
first grow one V240 panel, a 300w red cfl and a 125w red/blue cfl got about 9 oz off two auto plants.
second grow V240 and V300 panels, one root damaged clone and one decent blue cheese non auto 3oz.
this grow I've had amazing growth under the panels but she's not started budding properly until I added the red cfl again.

I'm new and there are other variables that will have affected the grows but the huge difference with and without a dedicated flowering light is just too big to ignore for me.

I think I'm gonna go with the 2 v400 panels, would you recommend adding a dedicated flowering lamp then? Like a red cfl? Or would one of them COB lights do the trick?

Well I'm getting the cob because I have the V series panels but the new C series panels look a lot better than mine tech wise.

This is a whole other predicament then as the 2 400w panels are V series and the 900w is a C series

I think I'm gonna worry about this tomorrow when I'm not stoned.

I wish I had went with 2 smaller lights that were equal or a little stronger than the one I have... oh well. Looks Like I'll have to have 3 in there now hahaha

LED don't seem to give the same coverage as HID as far as the footprint area, other than that I see no real drawback so far.

Spoke to the guys at viparled today and I'm gonna get the two C400's and use them at an angle. Also, going to use my grownorthern MS0006 directly above the canopy (maybe in flower, maybe flower & veg). So il have around 550w of actual light. Got to love going overkill!!

Sounds awesome man, I'm going to be running the new cob for flower only, the two side panels are easily enough for veg in my tent.
First sign of flower and on goes the extra 200w of red sun for flowering overkill
