No doubt about Stick',...we can read 'til we bleed, but application of the knowledge is where the real skill is,... perhaps during the first couple grows, folks are learning as much, if not more, of what NOT to do! Fortunately, all these little bread-crumbs of info/tips/knowledge help keep us on the path to success, however we may stagger, and out of the woodlands of FUBARI like you, did so much research in preparation for our outdoor growing adventures. But for me I always seem have to go through the school of hard knocks
Pardon my alarm here, mate, but how big are those party cups? Are we talking 16oz size? To keep the autos in there until signs of sexing will be a root cramp stunting nightmare,...! Please tell me I'm missing some step here...:joint: LOL! **** As for temps, sure 60F at night would be peachy, in a perfect maximizing world, but for us non-subtropical growers, it ain't happenin'! I say 50F only because that's usually the coolest nights get here at this time of year, and I'm too lazy to hump them in and out when they're in pots this big! Plus, there's simply no place to put them where they'll get decent morning sun inside in these pots.... Such is our compromise,... I am seeing some purple coloration showing up in unexpected places, Star ryder aside; we'll see if it's sun intensity, or the cool nights, as they grow out.Tuesday, I transplanted 7 of them into 3 gal pots, and still have 13, in party cups. (Waiting to show their parts)

Waira, they are HighRise , what cres calls 'light sensitive photos' (very early) They are in 18 oz. cups, which I read would be fine to start this gear in. Another lesson learned. Note to self, always start them in at least 32 oz. cups. Tomorrow I will just plant 2 plants per permanent containers with what I 'think' look like ladies and cull one as soon as possible. Permanent containers are 3 @35 gallon and 3@ 20. I will put one strain of each in both sizes. Air temps are still cooler than I would like at night, but with that large of containers I would think the soil will retain enough heat for the roots. Like today, it was only 6o outdoors, but 80 in hoop house all closed up.Pardon my alarm here, mate, but how big are those party cups? Are we talking 16oz size? They look more and more luscious every day! You can probably guess my favorite is the shorty cobra... She's got those gorgeous curves and she's nice and plump... How shallow of me to judge her solely on her appearance, eh? :roflcry:
Glad you mentioned your disappointment is with some of the strains, because I didn't understand why you are so seemingly hard on yourself - some of them haven't met your expectations - I get it now! I'm not familiar with many auto strains so I'm not disappointed in your results at all!![]()
... May not ever know, because I'm unlikely to try them again for the foreseeable future (just too many other in line ahead), unless the results are superb.... That Purple Kush, Miss Color Queenie Edit. Sorry waira, didn't mean to highjack your thread, just talkin about little old me.
Will comment on YOUR grow tomorrow, as I will be taking it fairly easy, well compared to the last few days anyway.![]()

So fogedaboutit! Until you start your our thread, here's the place,...:buds: This is funny- I was wondering what you n' Sapphire were up to, and you both fired messages off here within 5min. of each other
besides, I ain't got but a fraction of your action,... Jackson!!
Ahhh yeeeeah..... LMAO! *yawn* ... my turn to crash and burn, Vern.... I hope your back is feeling better! (wha'd I say?!) LOL!).....I'll catcha tomorrow,...
How's the back, man? I forgot that you're really angling for some :beast: putting them into hot tub pots! I eagerly anticipate the results,... No doubt, those big pots make good heat sinks, especially in the hoop'..... BTW, isn't Duurty Dragon a short strain, point being, 7 gal. is overkill? or do they like lottsa space, as some do regardless of size... Geez, Ive totally lost track of what all you've got going, just pieces... fire off your strain list for me again when you can, okay? Things are warming up at the Stick-Co farms, ay?! Speaking of hotness, swing by Sapphires' thread! That girls has got it goin' on! :booya:
Unfortunately its too late for throwing a rod or two out. I worked as a carpenter/concrete finisher for 27 years, and destroyed my spine. Lumbar region has so much damage that surgery is out of the question. Four months ago I had a three level discectomy/fusion in my neck, and 1 year ago Total Knee Replacement. One of my hip joints is gone also, but wont let them replace that. The show must go on. I have always been very production oriented , as if you couldn't tell.. As far as the back Im always constant pain, but I found that MMJ works the best to help mitigate some of the pain. Please just be careful, mate! The last thing you need is to 'throw a rod' right now..I hope your back is feeling better! (wha'd I say?!) LOL!)
The 411 I got from both cres from HighRise and Tester X who both grow with TLO, as well as my limited understanding of growing in it is; that the bigger the root mass you can create, the bigger your plants will grow.BTW, isn't Duurty Dragon a short strain, point being, 7 gal. is overkill? or do they like lottsa space, as some do regardless of size...
Durrty, Russian, and Karma Dragons, as well as three different Dragon xes.Geez, Ive totally lost track of what all you've got going, just pieces... fire off your strain list for me again when you can, okay?

HAHAHAHA - yep, I guess that small Cobra is my other girlfriend, but I'm starting to think she & Hazel are "twins!" At least super-babe-spirit-twins! :booya:
90 is great though, you have good genes! :smoke:
