Watch "Appear with Les Stroud on an episode of Survivorman" on YouTube

Yep guy was growing in burlap bags and didn't police area well. Great show. Helped to git wife a little warmer to the "homestead" idea. :)

Yep he's right. ..as always. ..but playimg in the woods when prepated an know what yer doing is fun....an working for da man blows.

Playing in the woods..... Sure, as long as you bring plenty of "off the on-grid" stuff with you.....

Watched a bit of off-grid whimsy, the guy is going off the grid deploying gas powered chainsaws, pick-up trucks and what not. .....There is no such thing as going of the grid unless travelling 10.000 years or so back in time.... Just think about a simple nail, think about the resources needed to produce a nail right from the ore, or treating an infection with off the grid penicillin, let alone making a pair of shoes or trousers, not to mention some sort of container to boil water to make it safe .....right from the bottom without any assistance from the deplorable on-grid geezers....

Nice little pipedream though!....... Always wondered how much fun I would have chopping firewood with a flint axe..... Not much I think on reflection!

Oh i never want to be without comfort and stuff like electricity. ..i just dont want it done for or to me.
do it myself thankyou very much. Use what we know now tolive a sustainable life of the tit of gov an corp
