Water issue

I usually take 3 slurry tests per run, preemptively, 1 before the seed goes in, 1 when sex is shown and 1 or 2 thru flower depending on what I see. Easier to correct the issues ahead of time and not wait till something shows up like your doing.

I'll admit, it's a bit of a PITA, but its paid off a couple times.

No I haven't calibrated meter. When I put it in my ro water everything seems about the same so I didn't think I needed to. But I guess I need to.
When you say "water I use" do you mean straight water?

Got it. It's easy to get lulled into thinking everything is ok. Looks like I've got some homework to do and unfortunately I've got some "life" stuff to do. I'll get back to you in the am with results. Thanks!

The water you would use for feeding.

RO by itself is very difficult to pH, normally it is right around 7, mine is a little higher. If I'm just watering n I'll mix in a small amount of cal/mag and then pH, it gives a much more accurate read.

Ph tester has been calibrated. TDS "comes calibrated from factory, no need to re-calibrate" and there is nothing on it to be able to re-calibrate
These are measurements I took today

Sensi Coco Bloom A 0.54 fl oz
Sensi Coco Bloom B 0.54 fl oz
Voodoo Juice 0.27 fl oz
Big Bud Coco 0.27 fl oz

Straight RO 0ppm 0ec 6.8ph
Straight Dihumidifier 27ppm 57ec 6.6ph
Mix nutes w/ water and let sit for 1 hour
RO w/Nutes 504 ppm 1072 ec 5.52ph Runnoff 821 ppm 1746 ec 5.23ph
Dih w/Nutes 750 ppm 1640 ec 5.52 ph Runoff 805 ppm 1719 ec 4.93 ph
Slurry test 4.99 ph

FWIW, I sent email to Advanced Nutrients. Maybe for some reason the ec is supposed to be that high. There's a dearth of knowledge on their website

A slurry of 4.9 is a little low. I've never worried about run off #, it does not give an accurate representation of what's going on in the root zone.
My ppm in a run off is almost always in the 1100 to 2000 ppm, but is @ 450 ppm in the root zone

Uhmmm well off in a good way or a badway? Using coco/perlite should I be thinking in terms of hydroponics? There is so much conflicting info out there.
