Well. Things are going downhill fast

LOL, That was probably around the 1st time I tried to grow. Threw some seeds in a pot & watered & expected it to grow. It grew for a couple of weeks & died. Didn't have a clue what I was doing. Didn't even know there were male & female plants at the time. Then about 1.5 years ago I got tired of buying from dealers & chasing after it all the time so decided to try again. Got to say I've learned a lot since then & I do well with photo's. Hope my luck is as good with Auto's.
Guess I'll know soon.

I am On my way to go get the probe now... and no I never had an issue with fox farm and photos, I repotted when they wanted more dirt and I never had issues with ph this was a long time ago and this is my first time with autos and no it’s def not quite the same... I didn’t give the plants any nutrients other what’s in the dirt until this last month, they went the first probably 6 weeks of life without and they definitely wanted food at that point. I’ll be able to give a better response when I get back hopefully with that darn probe .. to be continued

I have to agree ... growing auto's is a whole new ball game. I've had people tell me it's the same as growing photo's accept for the light schedule & flower time. That is not true at all from what I'm learning so far. Soil is different as you want it to be a lighter / fluffier mix so the roots can grow faster. Water schedule is different too. I only watered once every 2-3 days with photo's & according to Autobeast I should be using less water & watering twice a day. I'm having a little trouble also but my trouble is just getting them to grow. I had one pop up about a week ago & it isn't doing anything. Still only 1" tall. Also had 1 die right after it popped.
Someone told me to mix my soil 50% Biobizz, 20% Coco, 20% Perlite & 10% Vermiculite for auto's. When I told AutoBeast about my mix he asked me why I mixed anything with the Biobizz & that I should have just used it alone. I'm going to leave the 1 plant I have in the mixed stuff & hope it takes off but I'm going to use Auto Beasts thread "How to grow a perfect Auto-Flower from start to finish" when I start my new plants. He seems to know quite a bit & comes highly recommended from other people. I can tweak things later after I get an auto grow under my belt. Seems to me autos require a lot more attention to detail than photo's.
Right now I'm just glad I have 2 photo's going into flower this week that are really big. The 2 plants completely cover my 4 x 4 tent so I should get a decent yield. I cloned them just in case I don't get this auto-flower thing down soon enough. Besides, I love the Fire OG. It tastes so sweet & has a killer high.
For shits & giggles I'm going to take this 5 gallon bag of mixed soil & mix it with a 5 gallon bag of Happy Frog / Ocean Forrest I have already mixed that I use on photo's & try 1 seed out in it to see what it does. Just going to start it out in a 16 oz. cup & if it does what it's suppose to I'll use the mix & up-pot it to a 5 gallon bag. If it don't ... it will be added to the tomatoe garden outside for my wife to use.

This is what a mixture of Happy Frog and Ocean Forrest does for me...

I don’t know why I thought it wouldl be totally the same, but My experience thus far is they’re quite a bit different and they like different things and seem to eat and drink differently they even want less light from what I’m seeing

Do you have a link to your attempts with autos? It would be cool to see others journals who are also new to some of these things!

Have always thought the industry promotes autos wrong...
They come off as "automatic" beginner grower plants... nothing could be farther from the truth. A minor problem can upset the whole grow if your not on top of it...or out in front of it.

Hope you can salvage the harvest!

Unfortunately, I haven't made any journals as of yet. I just keep notes in a binder of anything I do each day & pics on my computer that I number so I can reference what I write.
Nice looking Bud MT. Send it to me .... LOL. Looks M-m-m Good !
I just started a New White Widow in the soil mix I was talking about (12 oz. cup to start it this time). I'm betting it comes out good this time. I don't usually start my seeds in their final pots like I did last time. I think that's why the last WW died. But someone said I should start with the final pot size for Auto's because they're kind of temper-mental. I'll up-pot to 5 gal. bags after I see 3 full sets of leaves. Like I said ... this one's an experiment to see what happens. I'm fairly confident things will be fine though.

Oh well, time to read some stuff on the 420 Magazine website & see what else I can learn about auto's. Never enough knowledge on this subject. I hate reading .... but I love learning. Wish I just had a teacher here to show me how to do it so I didn't have to read so much.
