New Grower what kind of light to upgrade to?

I was curious about Tasty so I checked their site out, they have 1 light in stock.. literally

he builds them on order next day shipping. Thats what he did for me , i called and the next day he was packing it up to ship.

I am currently using an 8 cobb diy LED in 1 room and 2 1000w HP's in another, but planning on replacing them all with ceramic metal halide soon as my current grow is done

How come the switch to cmh? What size tents are you using them in?

The LED is in a 7x9 room with 6ft ceiling but only covering a 4x4 tray and the HP's are in a 4x8 tent. I want to switch for a few reasons less heat and less watts than the hps so the savings on the electricity is great. Plus the light is much better quality than the current set up especially in the far red and UV spectrum

Yeah man if you have an existing light. All you have to buy is the cobs and holders. We will receive use your driver's that are already in the existing lights

Just do a quick search on the cmh I think you will find that they are fairly inexpensive depending on style and vender ect. Also read up on how they work. My buddy put one in his 4x4 tent and the difference in his yeild and quality are noticable

I have 2 of the same lights and the newer lights are more expensive but the penetration is much better and the overall performance is obviously better but you pay for it. In a tent that is that small the two are going to do you just fine. I would roll with what you have and see how it works and go from there. Those little lights will surprise you, they are workhorses. As far as the lights blowing up with water,if they do then something went real bad. Most hps lights come with a glass cover but there should never be water anywhere near there. Hps are high pressure gasses that put extreme heat out. The thing that will make those pop will be if you get oils from your hands on them when switching bulbs.I personally wouldn't upgrade for the size of that tent it would be wasted money in my opinion.
