I'm so used to hydro (well only my past few grows) that i didn't think about the fact i'm away for a short break, 4 or 5 days.

What do people recommend about automatic watering methods or kits ?

Cheers,

steely

Yes i was looking at them last year when i tried hydro for first time, lots of people recommend them, definitely a good move for soil grows, cheers Petey :)

Hi steely... you can buy an aquavalve to sit in any tray which will auto water to 20mm deep.. just need a suitable tray with the aquavalve and a water tank reservoir...:Sharing One:

I've used the Easy2grow systems for a few years for tomatoes in my greenhouse, I think the pots are around 7 litres each n those. Good for most of a grow, but no help just for the odd week

They also do something based on a porous pot siphon system (aquapot?) that might be worth a look too, although I've never tried them.
