Live Stoner Chat What weight would 6zips be ?

The youth here in my hood refer to an 1/8 as a slice and an oz as a pie. Pizza talk!

I always thought a zip was an oz ! Not 6 oz Am I wrong ?

Weed has always been sold in weights of Imperial ounces.

1/2 = Arfers
1/4 = a queue
1/8 = an 'enry (Henry the Eighth)
1/16 = a tina (sixteenth)

A nine bar = 9oz

It has always been that way and probably will not change. In UK anyway. However, small £10.00 deals are done by the gram! or nearly a gram.

Just my thruppence 'apenny. eP.

YES...1 ZIP is slang for 1 oz...6 ZIPS=6oz

Are there any other slang terms for weights ???

Also, a Ball-er is slang for an eight ball(pool) ie an 1/8 th

eP.

Around here an1/8th is called a slice ( of pizza) That makes an oz a whole pizza down in Texas we used to call it a zone.

Back in the late 70s we had Nickel Dime & Quarter Bags. I don't remember the qtys. but they cost $5 $10 & $25. I always bought at least an ounce at a time which was $100 if my memory serves me. Which it often dosen't.

For $5 you could get a lid. A lid was a small matchbox full or weed.

Wow 2kg wet weight is mad he will of got about 1 kg dry that's amazing !

If my math is correct it should actually be about 17.6 oz dry. You generally lose about 75% of the weight in drying. Not that a 17.6 oz plant isn't incredibly impressive, it is.

I've heard ounces called onions in a few different places I've lived.

I've always heard a lid referred to as a '4 finger bag' meaning 4 fingers in height.

Yes when I was growing up they were referred as a lid, meaning an ounce. They were measured by fingers just like medi said, 4 fingers or 3 fingers, now they sell it by the gram, I miss the old days...
