You can get it cheaper on ebay I think they are 70. I have a couple and a couple of the 600's, they grow plants and buds. Not bad for a starter light if you're on a budget. I now wish I had gone with a bit better quality of light. You can't go wrong with @Ripper 's recommendation thou the price might scare ya. In the long run, actually pretty fast, the extra expense will pay for itself with much bigger and frostier buds. Efficiency and Par levels are much better. Read and ask questions, I wish I had done more of it before recently educating myself on them.

Do it right the first time.. I have a bunch of crappy lights that would work fine but I want bigger and better ..

You only need one light for the set up the Amare p 300 is perfect and being an AFN member you get a 20% discount.. A 2x3x5 is perfect for two plants but there would not be enough room for an hid light in it as they are big with the air cooled hood

No my mistake it is called the pro3 it isn't on the website yet it's new the dimensions on it are perfect for a 2x4 as it is 32 x 8 inches and 3 1/2 inches thick

I'm using 2 of these lights in a 80x80x160cm space and everything is going quite well for a first timer. They are about £20 cheaper on ebay, shop around

I think for that size of space you may need 2 300watt lights. Maybe @MarshydroTina can help?

Appreciate all the info everybody. I have decided to go with a HPS/air cooled hood setup. It's tried and true, and there is way too much conflicting info on LEDs for my liking.

Tried and true for sure but no where near a copy of the sun spectrum that a quality LED can do.
I used to use 3k worth of HPS over DWC, I'll never go back.
