can anyone help me with this or have built there own ? I want to buy cree, luxoen and other led lights In my own spectrums to assemble myself I was going to go with a long strip lighting with spaced out pods of led lights to put In my grow. Any help or suggestion are much appreciated

Check out ledgroupbuy they have everything you would need to make a wicked light. They even have a cree 50w with all the necessary wavelengths and they have all the drivers and heatsinks as well as the fixtures and lenses. I was looking into building one myself. But if you want to engineer something and make it comoletely yourself I would check out mouser.com. they have everything

I've been looking into this a lon g time. Generally, it would be cheaper to custom order a growlight than to build one. Don't get me wrong. I love DIY projects, but they need to be economically viable as well as effective to be worthwhile. You should look at building your own power supply. Also, the pricing on heatsinks is ridiculous. Go to a computer shop and see if you can scrounge or buy used PC heatsinks Older Dell's have some great ones. 1" square tubing assembled in to bundles to in crease surface area works well with high power leds.

Not sure if this interests you at all but it might save you some time, hassle and get you a warranty to boot as Topled is doing a new sunseries LED using cree leds due to be released soon. they will allow you to customize the spectrum if your order two or more im sure.
Might be worth a try getting them to make it to your spec since they going to be making them with the components your interested in and in 100w, 200w & 300w units.

goodluck

Hello Pop, I looked at a lot of them and if price isn't everything, this type that can be ordered cut to size and is the case, base, and heat sink all in one doesn't seem too bad @ $25.00 us per foot including all screws, lens, and end caps. Just add leds, controller, cord. and labor. I looked close at this until I saw the Topled 144 x 3w which seems perfect for my needs.
