All I can say about the cal mag is that the better the led's, the more the girls seem to want!

Thanks for the compliment about the girls, I try to knowingly torture them as little as possible

No offense taken, se450 is cool with me, I'd just not necessarily make the same choice...

If you're goin with 1 se250 are u gonna supplement the light with somethin else?

I was thinking if I went with one se450, and only six plants and needed a little extra light I could remove the lenses which would throw some more light, I just wouldn't get as much penetration.. i don't know if you can tell but I have been a little beside myself in searching which lights to buy.. ahaha! all over forums and picking a lot of growers brain's on investing in lights. But I guess it's a good problem to have. And I'm really appreciative of everyone whose helping me. So thank you for reaching out.

With the 400 and three girls they all have their own cob close to directly above them but with six they are all at an angle one direction or the other - that's why the idea of two 400's appeals to me. That and if one ever went out that the girls wouldn't be left in the dark...

Yeah you make a valid point. A point that I have been going back and fourth about... another issue I'm worried about is not having enough heat in the tent when using Amare, which I would have to supplement my Grow with oil rad, which is a ton of wattage and I wonder if I get major spike in electric bill with oil rad.

it is complete overkill in my opinion. I am running cobs in my tent and they are over the top powerful. They produce heat not what other leds do but none the less my tent is in my garage the temps in the garage are in the 50's and even 40's and there is enough heat to make my fans turn on.

I was gonna say overkill like Ripper until I figured out you're prob talkin advertised watts on what are prob non-cob lights

If you're talkin a light like the Mars II 700 like I used to use then it might not be overkill

@Ripper - Thank you so much for responding to me- you may have solved a real problem for me. My initial intention in growing was to put a large tent in my garage but it is freezing in there. In the state of California it's legal to grow 6 plants at a time (without a license), so if I could set up a large tent in the garage I can grow some xxl's under a couple of cob lights. More research to do!

I am in northern California as well. I grow In Small pots (2 gallon) for variety I average around 40 grams per plant every 55 days.. that is a lot of weed..

Ps there are some tricks that help I put down some plywood as I do not want my pots sitting on the cold ground as it is not good for those roots.. hit me up bud I can help.
