Mephisto Genetics White lines.. Some problems?

Well I think I can confidently say that the last two WT have not sprouted even after producing a little tap root. The first mutant is still putting out normal new growth bless her, plus she seems to have gone a bit crazy on the lower two nodes. Where the fan leaf comes out of the stem is where a branch normally starts, this she's done but she's put out two branches each side on the lower two nodes???? Weird, I'm gonna carry on with her as she is fascinating to watch.
The other seedling I have looks normal although seems to be taking its time to get going.
I'll grow this one out too, before I set the tent back up

Funny one you found there corgy!

Looking forward to seeing their progress.

Cheers Mitch

Good to see you safely back on the Farm Mitch!

Here's an update on the seedlings. I am pretty sure that the seed that didn't crack in the shot glass also haven't cracked in soil, no signs of life yet.......

I have noticed that 3-4 seedlings grow their first 2 true leaves in a squarish shape, like someone has snipped off the tips with a scissor, but they seem to be alright even so. There is 1 that looks stunted, and then there is the Twin.....the rest looks just fine.

That's how the one Walter White I just started was. The first true leaves had white tips then formed as yours.

I'm very disappointed I placed my order with Mitch after the creation of this thread but didn't find it till last night. I ordered a white triangle and white train and was at no point told that these were having problems. I might be wrong but I think I should of been told.
As far as I'm aware of, white train has no issues. At least as far as I can tell. If you went to read this whole thread, many replied that it may of been a batch that was having issues in the white triangle. Mitch is a standup bloke and will give you more then enough to make up for any inconvenience this may of created for you. As for the rest of us on this site that know Mephisto and how their product is quite nice considering, we stand by Mitch and are using our resources as a group to help find the cause of the issue. Have a look around more on this forum. How many OPENLY want us in AFN to help find out why their may or may not be an issue??. Name a few and I'll shut up... Until then, email Mitch with your concerns and I guarantee he will make it right with you.... Many people can vouch on that.

Spot on Werner. I think this thread started out one way and turned to another and still in a discovery mode. Matt, give it a minute and see how it turns out. There's no way I believe you'll be disappointed in the end. Mitch is a straight up guy and they didn't achieve their good name disappointing anyone.

Hi, please pm me or email me and I'll check out your order for you.
I don't recall any white triangle orders as it's not a strain you can order through our shop or any others unless specifically requested.
But had anyone requested a white triangle after it was brought to light by the competition growers they would have been told no sorry.

The white triangles we have 99% gifted as freebies unless anyone specifically requested them.
They also went out to testers many months ago.
We donated these for a grow off competition to the forum which backfired a little as we didn't know there were any issues with them.
I've suspended giving any of these away as freebies full stop, we have many others that can replace these.

I've also sent more seeds of a different strain into the forum again for a grow/off, fun thread or whatever afn wishes to use them for.

The initial question posed by gbd to me privately was that he was experiencing some Walter white plants grow to a point normally as seedlings and then slow.
As we hadn't experienced that with our in-house testing I thought I would ask here.

It has since emerged that some others were having problems with Walter white plants sprouting and then dying off, again another problem that we haven't seen here.

I did advise some people, however some have just been given double the amount of seeds just in case.

I do take your point on board completely, and I meant to put Walter white as out of stock until we can conduct another test here, but I've been away, and as much as I wanted to keep up with things here I couldn't.

All seeds are from the same batch, and seeds we've grown for ourselves with no issue. But I wanted to re-test anyway, and hopefully define if it's a random issue, or something external that could be affecting them somehow.
It's been hard to nail down as some people report no issues and others have had less luck, which of course isn't at all satisfying for us.

Walter white is now marked as out of stock until further notice.

We'd be happy to replace anyone's Walter white with something else should they want.

Cheers, Mitch

I got mine in a pick and mix and I only got one of it so not really much of a problem I just wish I had known the whites were having troubles. Sorry if my previous message came of douchey

Not at all, don't worry.

I did check though and your order was about two days after the thread started at which point we were even less informed and it was more or less just a curiosity question to obtain more general/mass feedback.
As prior to that, we'd only seen and heard 99% good results.

Sometimes in this field it can be bad growing, myself I've frazzled, stunted, killed batches of plants in the past.. Good but too hot soil, bad soil and on and on. And also I've received bad seeds too as a grower/customer, so sometimes we have to read between the lines abit and figure things out, and that's why I'm trying to encourage all the feedback that I can here.

Anyway, long story short, never ever would we knowingly put any bad or troublesome stock out there, as it's absolutely not worth the headache or hassle. It's not a fly by night thing we have going here, it's repeat custom all the way that we really value.

Cheers!
