Right… so this has happened to me before, but within a day or two max they perked back up.

These are photoperiod DP Passion Fruit. Around day 7 or 8 I'd say, haven't done the math. Have 12 going and happened to one 2 days ago, then another yesterday, today the third! Starting to get worried.

They did pop out a little stretchy, so I'm figuring the new leaf growth is too heavy for the flimsy stem. but seriously, I've never had this issue before to this extent.

What do you reckon ?

Coco, canna nutes, done it a gzillion times, pH 5.6, EC 0.8 (tap 0.3)

they are too streched-they are searching for the light.

Yeah, figured it would be something like that.
Weird… I'm not doing anything out of the ordinary.
New strain for me, and apparently it's a super XL yielder, so maybe that's got something to do with that?
Thanks guys, will top up the pot and add some light soon enough

What distance s the light...I run minimal circulation in my stealth cab, but due to height restrictions lights are in close proximity to seedlings. Wind will certainly help as well as backfilling as jingo suggested.

Nothing new to add....but I certainly do want to see the Passion Frits grow and especially see some detailed smoke reviews!! I wanted to run one outdoor this summer, but she would finish a bit too late for me.

no wind eh? all light ya think?

I do something called flex training on every plant at a very young age to strengthen the main stalk just to be sure...hmmm how to explain this. As soon as the first set of leaves start to emerge and the main stalk is 1.5" I use my forefinger and middles finger on one side of the stalk and my thumb on the other side to gently manuipulate the stalk almost 90 degrees for one second....do this a couple of times(alternating direction) a day and main stalks will be super strong. This run despite fertilizer problems, I didn't bother doing flex training and I had zero problems with almost no interior circulation on the small plants, but granted I am mostly growing short compacted plants due to height restrictions.
Ive had quite a bit of success flex training large plant branches outdoors as well. I also got a technique from a guy here...hmmm @Fairlynew maybe? that used a similar technique by hanging weights off rubbery outdoor branches to increase branch rigidity, and wow does it work. By the end of veg I had wires with sticks, rocks(even a half a brick on a couple of branches) all wound up for added weights...hahaha It certainly toughened up the branches for the flower weight when coupled along with rainstorms.

You are right though eyes of fire...adding wind is a benefit for sure with stalk strength, and its something I have been meaning to do! :D I am amazed just how squat and strong the autos I have been growing under the 100X3w leds with minimal circulation.

:smoking:Groff, what's happenin' mate?
...mmmhh, those did get leggy on you! I get this on my outdoor seedlings every year, one or two seem to elongate in the stem and build leaf bulk faster than the stem can harden up to support well enough, or the wind knocks them around... I get a small skewer, a bit of twist tie, and attach it tightly to the skewer first, then tuck it in an inch or so away from the seedling (don't want to nail the taproot!), them make a small open ring at the end of the tie and slip the plant in it just under the leaves, then close it up,.. 2-3 days later it'll have hardened up enough to support,... and topping the pot some will help too of course! I also start Si supp's right away, a little in every watering/feeding,... Just curious, what kind of light are you running? COB?
