What is the idea behind the long dark period?Skywalker No. 5 has been flushing with plain water in the dark for 3 days. She may come down tonight or tomorrow.

Water depth is crucial to the foggers. I like the look of the floating ones, keeps itself at the correct level so you can run a decent depth of res. I'm thinking a remote res in a fridge outside the tent, feeding a four plant set up for autos or a single photo on a scrog. It may need a return pump, but that's no great shakes. Enough light, that's a pound and half producing machine.
fresh and green, looks good!Got my first batch of watercress today!

I'd make 3 holes, so the jets hit the basket from different angles. Make the holes small, so you don't lose pressure. If you don't have a power drill, use a nail, something not too thick. What is the idea behind the long dark period?
I have made holes in the hose...one water jet goes directly into the pot. Is that enough? I would guess the major part of the root mass goes down in the bucket?
I can take some pics if needed.
*giggles* We do push each other, don't we? LOLFogponics!
Thanks witch! Just what I needed! Another bloody tangent to go off on!
Like what I've read so far, wonder how noisy they are?
Defo looks like a better way forward than a high pressure aeroponics set up.
Yup...got some ideas, will update to fog.View attachment 705542
