I'll be rooting for USA but it's unrealistic to expect very much from them. I'm a huge Chelsea supporter so I'll be watching Brazil, England, and Spain closely as they have a lot of familiar players. I just hope to see some spirited, attacking football and hard fought matches.

What about cesc joining Chelsea because arsenal wouldn't pay him 200,000 a week ? That's loyalty for you in this day and age In football. Bench warmer at Chelsea wait and see.

Well, Arsenal had first right of refusal but I can see them not wanting to pay given how much they spend on midfielders last year. I think he'll play quite a bit next year, definitely more than at Barca where he could never establish himself in the first team. Brilliant moves for Chelsea to buy Fabregas and Costa for not much more than they got for selling Luiz (who was never going to fit in Jose's system anyway).

Come on England! But I'm also enjoying seeing Spain get absloutley demolished!!! I hate the way the Spaniards play, pass side to side for 90% of the game then dive for a penalty, brilliant tactics.

Spain is not what it used to be but WOW, I did not see that coming. And it's shameful to start the WC with a blatant dive and dubious penalty call, but sadly that's what football has become. I don't really even blame Fred for doing it - if you don't get punished for diving and the refs are rewarding it, why not do it?
