New Grower World of Seed NL & BB auto X 5

The light yellow in the tips of the new growth is about what I expected and the growth is about the same, think I will use big bloom and try and up the amount of grow big for the next FF feed. Today they got 10ml of cal/mag grow and a half cap of superthrive per gal @750ml each 6.5 ph.

I was checking my fert use for last grow and was going to comapre with this grow and noticed that I must have been one stoned dude last grow because I got the dates all mixed up and I think I lost a week. I guess that means I am doing something right. Anyway it seems I used bloom ferts (tiger bloom) in both veg and bloom last time and proved Muddy right, again, early harvest/less yeild. This time I will leave the bloom ferts till flower.

Day 20 and everyone got 5ml grow big, 10ml big bloom, and 10ml kangaroots per gallon at 6.4 ph 1500ml each. The tall girl is 16in and the short one is 6in with the other three between 12 and 13in. I love the results of these air pots but they do make a mess when you water. The tip burn isn't too bad, the color seems good so I guess too much fert too soon. I changed my t5's from 10000k to 6400k, I am not sure if the 10000k is worth the trouble or maybe I should just blend the two for the whole grow cycle.

You just have to get a concave "dish" shape going with the top of the soil...building up the soil on the inside walls a bit, then it's not so "leaky"

I love em, this first go around.

Plants look fantastic, man! Through the first furlong ;)

Day 23 and the tallest is at 20in and the tip burn is better. All but the runt are starting to catch-up with the tall one and the color remains good. All got 10ml cal-mag grow and a half cap of superthrive at 6.5ph 1500ml each. Thanks Trapper50cal the watering went better, less mess.

Those look really, really good...especially for day 23.

As to the watering in airpots...learned it from tang. :)

Day 25 and the tall girl is almost 27in with the runt at just over a foot and the other three at 21-23in. The runt has some nice bud sites and I am growing fond of her. Gave everyone 5ml grow big, 10ml big bloom and 10ml kangaroots per gal in 6.2ph areated water 1500ml each. I am not going to raise the light as much for a while, see if they fatten a bit.

Fantastic looking family portrait!

That's a real nice place to be on day 25....:)

Nice journal. Some fine looking plants. Interesting Virgina. I have two getting fairly close. One is about twice as tall. Wonder why so many variations in size. Both are leafy and new growth has the sativa looking leaves. It is possible that NL has a bit of sativa. Breeders are still not certain if original was crossed, but most think NL has a touch of sativa from way way back with the original cuts. Though it has been reworked so many times with 1, 2, 3, 4 and #5 NL. http://www.seedsman.com/en/origins-of-northern-lights http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_Lights_(Cannabis)

They don't appear to need a great deal of nutes. Wonder if I hit them a bit too hard--though I only went up to lowest end of Canna A and B.

Your five are like a family of siblings all with their own characteristics.

They seem to be easy to grow but mine are slow. Must admit I did use modified tomato cones. So, I--uncharacteristically, cut lower branches and pinched off new growth. This in itself may have slowed maturity of the big one. However, size and maturity are interrelated. Would you like me to post a photo of the two in a week or two. Have you checked out Kyliekay's grow it is getting close.

The Big Bud I assume is 100% indica because of it size. Looking forward to your results. Then of course the auto flower parent has a touch of NL--http://www.seedsman.com/en/origins-of-lowryder

Cheers
