Hi All,

I may be treading on dangerous ground here but, after a little research I'm beginning to think that World of Seeds stated harvest times are somewhat optimistic. Just here on AFN, out of the 6 completed grow reports on Afghan Kush Ryder the average harvest time has been 70.5 Days! Now compare that to the 45-55 days WOS quote and hopefully you can understand what I'm getting at? I'm very aware of the wonderful get out clause 'under optimum growing conditions' but, are they basically mis-selling this product, as quick maturing variety?

I have been on other forums (WTF!) sorry, had to be done for the sake of unbiased research and although they seem to generally shun auto's, where there have been reports, I have found much the same times as well! Not that I spent much time on other varieties of their seeds but, as they come up in search results for WOS, a similar pattern for the likes of 'Sweet Coffee Ryder and Pakistan Ryder' emerged!

Just my :2cents:

Otherwise, Peace and Love to you all! :peace:

Mike.

I believe that is flowering time. So, add the veg time and it works out. 70 days is short for the Afghans/Kushs/Paks. Some growers go longer to get high amber. The others seem to come in on time. My Sugar Mango came in at 56 days just as described under 240w led and some CFLs with four other plants including an AKR at 70 days. Just depends on conditions and the nature of the plant at that moment in time. Which included one burn and several weeks of getting PH in line.

Yep yep, what Alan said.

Doh! :o Just checked again the details on my seed pack and yes, it states 45-55 days flowering time! However, if you go to their website it states Harvest times as the same! Well it confused me?

Hey Mike, great question. It took me a long time to decipher seedbanks descriptions. I've noticed on older strain descriptions the its like they just used a photo period form to try to describe the auto strain. I also noticed not all descriptions were translated the greatest into English of at least the American English I grew up on. However recently I've noticed they are getting much better about describing they autos they are selling.

You can get about any auto strain to finish that fast if you start bloom nutes as soon as they sex. That will cut 2-3 weeks off the total grow time but your yields will be a lot lower than if you wait till vertical growth stops before making the switch. I'd rather let it veg the extra couple weeks and at least double my yield. More info here: https://www.autoflower.org/f44/life-cycle-auto-flowering-cannabis-5113.html

Damn, if I wasn't so impetuous at times!

Muddy, you are a veritable font of knowledge and wisdom :smoke: I wish I had read your 'Life Cycle of Autoflowering Cannabis' before I started this thread, in fact, before I started growing auto's this time around, full stop! It should be mandatory reading for anyone who joins AFN, more so if you want to understand how to grow auto's properly!!

Sir, you are a godsend (maybe just a god?) and at the risk of gushing too much?
