Indoor WWWillie and the Moonstone Trainwreck

Day 71
09/11/2014
Temp 79 RH 54

Quick update on the grow. They look good, really starting to fade and getting cloudy trichomes. Funny though the STW I was going for this weekend popped out a whole bunch of new pistils... Not uncommon so I'll just wait a bit longer.
Worked in the garden last night almost have the ventilation system where I think it needs to be. One 400 cfm fan connected to the cool toubes drawing room air through a 6x30 cannister filter and exhausting out of the room, each tent with a 200 cfm booster type mounted on a 6x18 canister filter exhausting out of the top of the tent and the rear vent open for passive intake. Hope now that temps are cooling I can keep both tents cool at least in the upper 70's.
I bought a Solis Tek Matrix to replace the DOA ballast. I found a good deal and it was only $14.00 more. So I got a 1000 watt ballast with LCD, timer and remote control, cool!

Day 75
09/15
Temp 82 RH 55

Not much to report, things are very stable at this point. I am just waiting for things to mature a bit more. I am flushing now. Maybe another week until harvest? We'll see. I am looking for some amber trichomes and a few less immature pistils and definitely more mature lower buds. They are small plants and I want to get the best of the most of everything I can out of them!!

Day 77
09/17
Temp 87 RH 40

Closer and closer... I think they are getting bigger. Hard to tell I look at them day and night! I am just waiting a few more days. Put about a liter of plain water throgh today. Started using the Primo water from Wally World at the recommendation of one of staff here. Hope it works out. I am tired of dealing with the RO water. I don't think it helped or hurt but it was a pita to deal with pH wise. Soon, man soon!!

Pictures here!

Sweet Train Wreck looking very sweet indeed!

Harvest Day!
Harvested Moonstones last night. Both were small but one especially was packed solid with bud. The main cola on the solid one weighed in at 47 grams wet, so... should be about 14 or so, prolly less, grams dry. Not bad 1/2 zip on one bud from this little girl!
Sorry about the poor quality picture, was in a hurry and did not want to take the glove off!

First one!

All done with growing these fine ladies. Cut down and trimmed the two Sweet Train Wrecks last night. Anther pair of very dense solid nugget bushes. Look to get a zip out of these two as well. So that should make just shy of two Oz. dry out of this. Much better than I expected and the quality of the bud is just outstanding, cannot wait to taste them!

Stay tuned for smoke and drying reports and a few pictures when I get a moment.

Looking fantastic wwwillie, that's a fine selction of chicas you got there.
Beautiful colours and nice frosty buds, can't wait to see what dry weights are and of course some smoke reports :)

Hey!
Thanks AZ
Did not have much time last night so I thought I would have a taste instead of starting anything. I took a snip of a tiny bud from a moonstone, put it in the Arizer Solo on 2 for about 5 minutes (it was quite wet and sticky)took sveral long very slow draws, after that I took it out and crushed it, it was a good bit dryer now, loaded it back up cranked it to 7. I got several big hits with a nice cloud on exhale. Not much taste, but not bad either should be tasty after a proper cure. This little bit baked my noodle!! I was soaring there for a while, cev level 3 for sure and no trouble falling asleep!

Quick update.
Moonstones have been down since last week. The large cut buds were hardly drying at all and I started to worry about mold. I cut them into much smaller bits and they are now in a paper bag. I may jar them up by the end of the week and start burping them. Meanwhile I continue to sample, cannot stay away as a matter of fact! Like the buzz, if I go easy I get a nice stone that I can function with for the most part.

Sweet Trainwreck These were cut a day later. I trimmed them just like the MS and they are in bags too. They prolly won't be ready for jars until next week. I am going to put hygrometers in the bags tonight. Have not tried these yet. Saving until they cure a bit. They smell so nice and citrusy maybe lemon?

I'll post some pictures of the budlets soon. They look nice and crystaly.
