So these are a rather nice looking heatsink and fan and no I didn't destroy and Xbox just for the unit haha.
I used one driver out of my mars ref 48 seeing as I destroyed the switch terminal for the bloom setting haha.
I tested it in a 85 x 55cm space and it lit right up!
And here's both my units lighting my 1m2 tent. One is 200w through three 1212's and second is the xbox heatsink running a guess of 80w through one.
I know its probably and inefficient set up with the cob to driver ratio but its been a long time coming and I'm happy with it for now. Once I restock on materials I might run six instead of three on the larger unit. In saying that my next purchase will more than likely be passive heatsinks to suit and a framing system. I'm hooked! @Waira do i qualify for a tech freak badge?
Its been a big learning curve but I'd like to thank everyone who has helped me along the way. You all know who you are. Afn has been an amazing resource, I can't stress that enough. Get into diy! Ask questions, watch videos, read threads!
Peace.
