Hi @scott04_40 , I can only tell you from my experience that if the leaves cannot be "tucked" to allow light, then what works for me with no negative affects is partial removal of the fan leaves blades that are blocking light and/or total removal of the leaves also works for me too but I wouldn't go to the extreme as in a defoliation, just my experience tho, another idea is to rotate it daily so light can penetrate at different angles, hope this helps.btw your plant looks awesome

Iv fucked up mate i germinated it i a 1 litre bottle and only cut tje bottom 2cm off or so.. so the root balls stayed in the the 1 litre bottle same with a amnesia iv grown.. but 1gs an acheivment if its nice lol sow ould you advise just trimmig the leaf blade and not completky removing lpthe whole leaf will follow with a pic og what v currwnlty got going thanks forr advise budelee

The leaves are pretty important until they're totally dead (always remove totally dead leaves). Usually it's possible to tuck the leaves down behind or under the bud sites or tuck em up anywhere really. This is okay to do if it's directly covering a bud site that you wanna get light to. It's just called "tucking" haha. :)

Most of us would advise against actually removing the offending leaves for a couple reasons, the plant uses them like solar panels for energy, and also as storage for nutrition and sugars. (it'll need those stored nutes soon, and at the end you'll see leaves starting at the bottom turning yellow and dying as the plant scavenges the last energy for flower mass.) Plus sometimes leaf removal can shock the plant a lil bit.

:)

While i will agree with anthro that leaves are like solar panels and that they are important for producing energy, growth, and for nutrient storage,If you cant successfully tuck them, what are your choices..A: you could totally remove the leaf,or B: Partially remove the leaf..either one could have a chance of shocking the plant, but if your solar panel is blocked from the light so the node is exposed, its probably as efficient as a partially cut fan leaf.Point is,you have options, and for me to say one will work and one will kill your plant would require a crystal ball,or at least more info about nutes light and setup.however,if the plant with the broken stem recovered,it shows that is is probably strong enough to take a few leaves being removed...If your flowering nute schedule feeds your plant sufficiently, you may not see any yellowing of the fans near completion/flush but the pistils will be orange/brown and the triches will be cloudy/amber..hope this helps

Hats spot on guys see i u derstand all about why leaves are o a plant photosynthesis etc... but at 5he risk im willing to take i serously thinkin about removing a few.. not completly shaving her of her leafs but just gently removing a few,. I do tuck as much is tuckable but still feel defoliation would benifit me a little more than just tucking even if its just throughout the last 2 weeks of flowering will see how things goo guys.. thanks for advice..

I use a 250 w hps with 310pm3 sporpion exhuast fan.. ionic for soil bloom, groq and pk booost.. fewdin lwmon o matic 3.4ml of bloom per litre of water same with amnesia, i feed, leave, leave, water, leave, feed, etc

Since you are only removing a few they will be fine, your setup/nutes look good,Keep in mind autoflowers have come a long way and are being put to the test at every turn..It used to be that topping or fimming was a big no-no,but many of our members have been using this technique for some time, your plant WILL give you a nice harvest,Do us a favor tho, after harvest let us know if the leaf removal shocked your plant..Cheers !!
