Here we grow again. Zambeza Blue Brilliant Photoperiod seeds, House & Garden nutrients in a GroDan rockwool Hugo block grow with precision drip irrigation. I have 14 DIY Citizen 1212 3500K 90 cri cobs and two Roleadro LED fixtures for a total of ~ 930 watts in a 4' x 6' x 8' space. I use an Arduino Uno to control the lights, exhaust fan and CO2 controller. In the space also Heavyweight Monster Profit.

I am preparing the Hugo blocks for transplant tomorrow. This is done by soaking them in PH 5.5 water for 30 minutes and then flushed 3 times to waste with the nutrient blend for for weeks 2-3.

Transplanted the girls today into Hugo blocks with FloraFlex caps. Now we wait for 9 - 10 days for the roots to get well established throughout the block before we start fertigation. The blocks were prepared by soaking for a half hour in PH 5.5 water then flushed 3 times last night with H&G nutrient blend for the Hugo week. Amounts shown are in ml to 4 gal. of water PHed to 5.8. The Blue Brilliants are on the far right row in the tray.

The girls are doing well on day 12. The space has been running 68°F/60%RH night time, 76°F/50%RH daytime 18/6 schedule. Fertigation has not started yet as the Hugos remain heavy > 50% saturation. I want to wait until we're ~ 30% so the roots will become well populated. Lights are running ~ 25W each for ~250 W in the space right now. The front plant got a little light burn as I was turning the watts up a bit to warm the space a little more. I think the light was reflecting off the shiny surface of the FloraFlex Cap?

It has been 9 days since the seedlings were transplanted into the Hugos. They were foilularly fed yesterday with 2 ml of Magic Green to 250 ml PHed water. The first fertigation will begin today. The drip emitters run 1.7 ounces of nutrients per minute per plant. The nutrients are at 870 PPM mixed on week three of the chart into 10 gallons of water. PHed to 5.9. the fertigating time and duration is shown on the chart. Each plant will get 34 ounces total today. Fertigating will then be turned off until the blocks are dried down to ~ 40% capacity. This is estimated by hefting them. This should take 3 or 4 days. Algen Extract is not added to the reservoir tank to keep it cleaner and will be applied separately to the top of each FloraFex cap once a week.

The front plant may be getting better now. It looks like a bad case of Cal-Mag deficiency. The five other plants in the grow are doing well and all are getting exactly the same nutrients? The only things I can figure are that one, the Hugo block did not get conditioned well and there is a pocket of lime remaining or when I turned the COBs up a little it just put too big a demand on the plant for Cal-Mag? This one is a mystery to me?
