New Grower Zombiedeath's first grow

After taking quite a lot of advice from the community here I have finally started a grow of 2 Short Stuff Seedbank Auto Assassins. Unfortunately it took longer to get a bulb than I had expected so the little girls have got leggy searching for light. And, the housing of the electrics and carbon filter is stopping me dropping the lights as low as I would have wanted to.

Great to see you getting started on your first grow. They do look a bit leggy. Put something under your pots and raise them up if you can't lower your lights. Try and maintain about 1" node spacing.

What kind of soil and nutrients are you using?

I am using John Innes Seed Sowing Compost and plan on starting to feed the ladies Biobizz nutrients in a couple of weeks.

7 days into the grow

7 days now - with the benefit of the week I see just how badly the girlies were affected by sprouting outside a lighted environment and stretching. I have had to do an emergency repair with an earth mound on one seedling that collapsed [she fell over in a comatose state but seems to be recovering now] and have put in stakes to give them a resting place.

They appear to have got too hot so I have removed the props and changed the angle of an exhaust fan to remove warmer air faster.

Time will tell as may your advice.

not looking bad though, healthy:thumbs:
the stick will just keep the stems weak though get a very low power fan blowing on them if you havent to simulate a breeze they then strengthen their stalks to resist it etc. it will help them in the long run when they have to hold up ounces of bud:drool:

id take out the stick myself and let them muscle up their stems, did you push the stick through the roots? id attach something to the pot if you really have to something like a coat hanger from one side arched up so you dont disturb anything underground.

The fan is a good idea [I have spare power points to use]. I did push through the developing root ball but was worried about mould and other diseases at the time so sterilised the stakes. I will bear your thoughts in mind.
