This is the second of my two seed packs won from Dinafem during the Festivus 2020 contests. I only managed to get one out of three seeds to pop on this one. They were smaller, and not as uniformly colored as the Blueberry Cookies. Unfortunate, beacuse I was looking forward to these the most. I have one, though, and she is getting large, and healthy.
The following pages are a week by week update on how she is growing. I will post the ENTIRE photo feeding schedule I use on it's own page. So there will not normally be feeding information on a page, unless there is an anomaly for some reason. I will note it in the correct page. Otherwise, assume she is wonderfully happy, healthy, and eating normally.
UPDATE - So everything got a bit behind there with the illness - Theres a gap in the journal of a couple of weeks there, that I was too busy to take photos. I apologize for that. I'm getting it up to speed.
PHOTOPERIOD general feeding guidelines
For vegetation, I treat them the same as I do the autos.. Start out with base grow nutes ( I use Sensi) @ 1/8-1/4 strength, and slowly increase over the first couple of weeks, until you are feeding at full strength. Interspace base nute feeds with cal mag/trinity (and occasionally a boost of Recharge) until they are about 30-40 days old.. or whenever I decide to flower them. About a week before they start their flip, I will give them Prime (from Heavy 16) to ready them for the flip. Once I shorten their cycle, I cease the Prime, and I start them on their
8 week flowering feed. This is where the magic come in at. How and what you feed during flower makes all the difference in the world when it comes to what you harvest. Vegetative accidents can be fixed, by keeping the plant at a long light cycle, treating the ailment, and only flowering her when she is healed. If you screw up, or dont feed enough in flower you are done for. I seldom have problems with my plants, using the method below for flowers.

This should help you, should you decide to try my program. I grow my plants in Potter Gold soil, unammended, in pots that range from 2-7 gallons. They are indoor, under LED, COB and Quantum lights.

So the first couple of weeks there wasnt much going on, just babies. It was hard to tell the PAK from the blueberry cookies, they grew a lot alike. Once they got a little bigger, I could start to see differences in them. So far at this stage, all I could tell is that they were both Dinafem.
Here are some photos of her. She's beautiful, but still really little She's got this wavy-arm thing going on, it's really interesting. Her leaves are more rounded, and narrow, than the blueberry. I like her. I can't wait to see what she looks like

So this is her right after I transplanted her from the cup. She went into a 2 gal square pot. She blew the heck up after this. I got a bit behind in my photos with everything thats been going on with the 'illness' so I'll have to give an update skip after this. Theres a good 2 wks inbetween this. (don't worry I post feed in a seperate pge on its own, the whole program I use. )
wk 4-5
sorry for the spotty updates. Unfortunately, my internet is throwing fits daily. I cant even watch a youtube video at the same time im doing this, so I had to shut everything down just to get an update in.
SHE IS SO PRETTY! fast becoming my favorite out of the 3 dinafems. Her smell is very pungent. Strong at the back, and quite KUSH-y. She is fast turning into my favorite out of ALL the photo plants i have going right now.
Too bad i have a huge hole where the HSO contest was going to be. Maybe I will clone a bunch of her and try a SOG. Depends on how bad she stretches. We are about to see a wide range of genetics flower out at my house. I'm so excited
The PAK is eating well, daily at this point. Shes light as a feather every L-on whn I lift the pot, so I take it as a good thing.
She's very bushy, and compact. I did top her, but that doesnt matter too much right now. you can't tell.I had to do another right after I took these photos, so the next time you see her you might not recognize her. I cant WAIT to see these buds. I've wanted a pineapple flavor for a while now, but they are hard to come across.
Here she is.

Disappointing plant HARVEST IMAGES
So im not even going to lie. Once I saw how this puppy was growing, I was wishing I could just delete the entire journal. I have never invested so much into a plant for so little return. I dont know if it was just the plant I got. This was the only one out of a 5 pk to even pop, so I cant tell you what the others looked like. I can tell you that I could not find a single image of a Purple Afghan Kush that looked like mine. Maybe I got an outlier, but I wasnt happy. So I quit taking photos, quit updating this journal. I did keep the harvest photos though, so you could see WHY I dropped this journal. NOT HAPPY. Not one single cohesive bud in the entire 7 ft plant. Not one. They were all skinny foxtails, no substance. and the entire plant was one huge foxtail. I had to shove it all in a bad together, and stick it under my mattress so I could make it look like there was some BUD in there, and not just some hair and dust. Had to pass it off as brick. Sad.
Though, I will say they were SPOT ON as far as the smell/taste went. I have never had anything so strongly of fruit in my life. I could smell pineapples and gasoline through the tent while she was growing, but there was just nothing there. I got about 2-2.5 ounces off of a 7ft tall plant. and she was covered in buds. the taste was so strong, just a single calyx would flavor an entire joint, no matter how strong the weed you put with it was. but it had no punch. I couldnt tell when I had smoke in my mouth, other than the taste. and I couldnt get stoned either. I smoked several blunt sized joints in a row, and all that happened was I had a really weird aftertaste in my mouth. WEIRD. pineapple and weed dont go together so well in this strain methinks. Anyone else ever grow the PAK? let me know in the comments. I'd like to know if im the only one to have a pheno like this one.
