Hi there guys first time DWC here, just going to follow you guys up on my set up and the first week here for the first update. like the title says I'm growing 3 Dutch Passion Think Different. I have no experience with TD and little experience with Autos all together. but here is the run down of my set up.

Running about 120watts T5 for veg and 1000watt HPS for flower

5 gal bubbleponics system pushing about 15 L/PM to EA. Bucket with 6in net pots.

i will be getting a A/C when I switch lights over also I will be making or purchasing some kind of carbon filter to attach to my 6in in line fan to in witch will cool the bulb as well as you can see everything is set up besides the filter so there for I don't have air being blowing out the room just open for now.

8 days from seed. As you can see from the picks (purple on the ends of the tips) they had a previous ph problem and a little over heating like 24hours after they sprouted they seem stunted for a day or 2 but started showing new green life Fairley quick but they have come back fantastic I think!

here are some more shots of the babies. one has a couple of spots on its leafs any thoughts also one of em in its new growth is looking really light in color almost on its way to white sort of speak. all 3 of em have little crystal like things around the leafs and new growth. let me know I am open to any suggestions remarks any feed back at all would be greatly appreciated!!

Cheers! and thanks again stay medicated will be posting later 2day about what I'm currently running in my reservoir and all the nutes that I plan on using

Just to bring you up to speed.

I started the germinated seed in RW cubes with just ph balanced at 5.8 and Rhizotonic.

then about a day in a half after that after they all sprouted I mixed up a gal of 15 ML of Rhizotonic 1/4 strength of recommended grow and base on the bontanicare chart. and about 1/6 of a teaspoon of silica blast. this mix around 180ppm this is the mix my ph was super low and the night I had the lights to low and had a humidity dome over them and had got way to hot and looked horrible the next morning new growth was turning a dark purple and shriveling up.

so on that morning I transplanted them in new RW cubes and gave them a clean mix of Rhizotonic and ph balanced water at 5.8. they stated right back up right away and new growth looked healthier and the purple color decreased.

another 2 days after that I placed them in their buckets but did not notice to much root growth coming out of RW cubes but still a little stunted after transplant. and still not a lot of notable height growth since ph mess up.

next morning on day 6 from seed they started growing taller but still nothing explosive still recovering a little bit it seemed

day 7 topped and covered RW cubes and also raised the water in buckets and also ppm from 190 to 230 this is were I started adding cal mag to the mix. the reason why i raised the water level was because I notice I place the RW cubes to height up with about 2 1/2 inches of medium it has to travel to before getting to the bottom of net pot.

Okay now we are on DAY 8 witch is today. this morning there is still no roots that have reached the bottom of net pots. but I can defiantly can tell a difference between the growth from last night a lot taller and new leaves growing fast. this is the quickest growth I've seen over night! good signs I hope!

here is my nute line up I still want to get a sweetener but don't need that yet but i am open for suggestions on nutes let me here what you have to say.

but my ppm is reading right around 230 for all 3 and ph about 5.9 and looking goo =d waiting for roots they have to be close.

Subbed!! I have some of these seeds waiting to be sprouted. Can't wait to see what to expect!

I am exclusively DWC and have found that plants react to it amazingly.

Expect everything to be larger, healthier, and in some strains faster than what soil will give you. I have never grown in any other forms of hydro so I can't speak for them, but it's an amazing experience that you won't go back from!

As for nutes I just use General Hydroponics 3 part series but on my current plant I am using Bio Bizz Top Max as well since it is flowering. Good luck, and have fun, can't wait to see the results.

One word of caution, you may develop an obsession over the water parameters and nutes hahaha!! It mellows over time however.

kool man thanks. I cant wait just got home and they look stellar!

:styles rasta:wecome to the site mate:smokebuds:& good luck with your 1st DWC
I would go full with the rhizo & add just your veg nute on top of that for week 1 (silica not needed & to hot for babys) ... half rhizo & up the PPM in week 2 with just the veg nute still ,then silica & cal/mg in week 3 (unless you spot some deff?).

PH 5.5 TO 5.6 Is better for babys in the 1st two weeks then only UPTO 5.8 for the rest of veg... I only go over 5.8 in the bloom stage :High 5:

day 9 here and I was not planning on posting a update but the babies are showing spots on their leafs. Is this because of the silica blast DWCocha? im only using 1/4 teaspoon per gallon and they recommended use is 1/2 - 1 teaspoon per gallon. my ppm reads about 200 avg. between all 3 buckets and I adjusted the ph to 5.6. any ideas? thoughts? dose not seem to be to big of a problem. Im getting crazy growth out of all 3 as you can see the difference from yesterdays pictures. are the roots just adjusting to being in the nute solution? I still have the water level about a inch up on the pot since I place the rw cubes to high. but expecting to see roots in the next day or two. Im doing a res. change on Wednesday and that's when I will do another update. thanks again!

Yes I would guess thats either the silica or not enough root stim & to low PPM .My advice would be change the res now as spots on babys that young can not be good & a clear sign something is not right with her :smokebuds:

:bong:good morning AFN! thanks for the advice DWC! will do! thanks again and thanks to everyone that for stopping by! DWC around what range should I have the ppm now going into day 7 after sprout? thanks a bunch!

so woke up this morning and the spots have not shown ne increase or decrease in size. and the color seems to show the same result comparing to last night. not good not bad news.

sooooooooo like DWC advised im going to do a res change and bump up the strength of my Veg nutes. and drop the silica blast. Will keep you guys posted!

Hey bud .... it depends on your background PPM ... check that 1st & make a note . Then add your rhizo at full ...let it mix a while & then add whatever your nute range says to add for the grow stage until you are around 350 - 400 above the background PPM

So if your PPM is 100 out of the tap ,you would make the res upto 450-500

If your using RO & your BG PPM is zero then make it upto 350-400 .

I use EC to measure & have roughly converted that into PPM so those numbers are a guide mate & not writen in stone ...PH is the most important bit :High 5::smokebuds:
