OG KUSH: growing steady and beautiful
- 4th node grew bigger
- 5th node started (this is where i topped off)

hope i did it right cant wait to check on results.

------------

temp notes: case cracked open / pot sitting on the bottom of pc (no more flow restriction)
- AC OFF
- w/ wet sponge (humidity purposes)
- inside temp: 86 / humidity: 32
- sponge did not help raise my humidity
- raised my temp by 3 degrees. (from 83/84 normal)

----

temp notes: case closed / pot sitting on the bottom of pc (no more flow restriction)
- AC OFF
- inside temp: 93 / humidity: 16

------------

QUICK NOTES:
- waiting on new fans to arrive (hoping to get my temp lower while case is closed)
- planning on starting fox farm trio nutes on OG KUSH (cotyledon is already yellowed) @ day 21 end of week 3
- letting LR #2 ride it out (no nutes until the cotyledon yellow)

Looking great friend! When i used a pc case i had 4 lights on top and 2 mounted low. The low ones were about mid way in the case. One 80mm fan for intake and two 120mm 100cfm 12v pc fans for exhaust . The thing that helped most to lower my temps was to mount an 80mm fan blowing across my lights and toward the exhaust fans. Remember to have more air going out than coming in. Then the exhaust fans can do their thing better. Subb'n in bro.

thanks for stoppin by unholyfire -- im definitely honored.

ive read that 4:1 CFM ratio of exhaust to intake was ideal.
(heres some quotes fromt he site: "A good rule of thumb is a 4:1 exhaust/intake ratio. That means 400 CFM(cubic feet per minute) exhaust for every 100 CFM intake.")

im actually waiting in a couple of fans i just ordered so i can have a whole air flow set up. (hopefully resulting in a COOLER TEMP)

current set up:
2 exhaust = about 60 cfm (30 cfm per fan)
2 passive intake
1 circulation = about 30cfm

planned NEW set up:
3 exhaust (new fans) = about 120 cfm (40 cfm per fan)
1 intake = 30 cfm / 1 passive
2 circulation / aiming at the lights.

will be posting a picture update once the set up is done.

OG KUSH: growing like a champ.
- guess i mustve topped just right -- leaves are getting bigger.
- leaves got burnt by cfl lights (right side)

----

looking to add some nutes at next watering for the og kush tomorrow (day 21),

will be starting from WEEK 4 FOX FARM FEEDING CHART.
- 3 tsp per gallon of GROW BIG
- 3 tsp = 15ML
- 15ML x .25 = 3.75ML (1/4 strength)

will slowly increase as the week goes on.

----

quick question:

how long can i keep the gallon of water with nutrients before it goes bad?
(i know i wont use up the whole thing in one feeding)

would i be able to keep the gallon until it runs out?

would it be better for me to mix the nutrients in smaller doses? (1L or 2L containers)

Always best to use fresh nutrients. You might be able to keep chemical based nutes for a few days but definitely not with any organic ones. I learned this the hard way when I once killed two plants that I fed nutes that had been left sitting for 3-4 days. Just mix smaller batches.

thanks for the heads up muddy.

i will be mixing in 1L for now >> 2L >> 1 gallon as the plant grows.

quick calculation of NUTES for 1L (1/4 strength)

1liter = roughly 1/3 of a gallon
5ml x .25 = 1.25 x .25 = .31ml

sounds good?

1 liter is .264 gallons, so closer to 1/4 gallon than 1/3.

OG KUSH: growing and taking off
- looking good (to me atleast..)
- leaves are getting bigger (very noticeable compare to LR #2)

- burns on the edges?
- im thinking its just from the cfl (moved it up)

----

both plants got some feeding of GROW BIG @ 1/4 strength (roughly)

roughly 1/4 strength of grow big (8oz per plant)
- water ph pre mix: 6.3-6.5
1/4 strength of grow big (.40ml per 1L)
- water ph with mix: 5.5
ph up addition (2 drops)
- water ph: 6.3-6.5

WATER PH IN: 6.3-6.5
RUN OFF PH: 5.0

what i dont understand is that im still running the same exact TEMPS..

even with the upgraded set up.

can anyone help out with a possible solution?

-----

1) would it be better to just take out the intake at bottom?
- 3 exhaust / 2 passive / 3 circulation

2) turn all the fans to exhaust?
- 5 exhaust / 1 circulation / no intake..

thoughts/idea would be HIGHly appreciated.

-----

excuse all the electrical tape -- i ran out of aluminum foil tape.

i will be covering those once the tape arrives at my door.
