New Grower 2ND Grow Journal - Cream Caramel,White Widow & Northern Light

Hi to anyone who's reading this.

Today is day 7 of my 2nd grow and obviously day one of any kind of journal. Pics Below.

I am growing 3 autos and 2 photos, the autos are the same 3 I had in my last grow White Widow from Vision Seeds, Northern Light from Vision and Cream Caramel from Sweet Seeds. I am also growing a photo strain, 2 Kandy Kush, they were given free with the last order so I figured I'd try em (Why send free photo seeds when all I order is Autos), not sure what I'll do when time comes about the light cycle. Oh well, So five in total. Doing some things a lil diff this time around and will compare results with last grow.


So to start:

Soil- I am growing in OF using 3 gal pots - No transplanting

Nutes- Fox Farms Grow Big, Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom, Molasses

Water- alternating, some tap and some RO

Lights- I am using a 600w Mh for Veg and will switch to 600w HPS when time is right ---- However I would like to change to LEDs as soon as possible!! for perpetual growing

Grow area- Outside Grow Room measuring 4'w X 8' l X 7' tall, I have 1 6" going out and a couple 4" coming in, plus the temps get so hot around here that if possible I have the door cracked a foot and the 16" oscillating fan blowing around the plants - Still working on controlling temps better.


So the only things I'm really doing differently are not transplanting, it appeared two plants got stunted due to this. Also I'm goin to use a veg nute which I didn't last time. The only other thing I think I am goin to do diff is LEDs, I am not sure which to go with, I've tried contacting some of the people on ebay about which LEDs are used and what quantity but never got an answer, I do see that some manufacturers will build to request, that's awsome but there is a lot of discrepancy on what the plant really needs. So any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. I am on a budget unfortunately. here is a link to one that someone had mentioned please check it out and let me know what you think.

Hey FreeLivin. So glad you started a grow journal with these strains, as they are all on my 'to grow list' including the Kandy Kush photos.

quick update- they're alive, not much else to say for now. when something exciting happens or horrible happens you'll know.

Hey ladybudz thanks for checkin this out, there are pics of the last CC in my other journal in case your interested, she looked great and smelled great, although the yield was on the light side. And as for the photos, yup, I intended on keepin them together, they're feminized so the worst I figured if they stayed that way would be the light cycle later on, have a few ideas but won't think too much about it till I get there.

P.s. For anyone who cares, this might not be the best option out however it seems to be a good alternative. What am I talking about, thanks for asking, I'm talking about pots, I use 3 gal pots, or containers if you will since mine aren't pots, they are actually coolers, styrofoam coolers from home depot, they tend to be a lil bit taller than standard 3 gal pots, I hear that's better for autos, IDK, they come with a cool lid that can be used as a run off (thingy, catcher, tray) whatever it's called, they don't have pre-made holes in the bottom which I like, I bought reg pots this last time to add more plants and I hate them, I had to use large rocks to block the holes so soil didn't just pour out, maybe it's only to me. On the "coolers" I made my own holes at the bottom, & numerous other places (with a pencil) & I did use some small rocks and perlite at the bottom just to make sure it didn't get clogged. Not really sure why I felt like sharing this, was just thinkin about how much I hate the reg pots I got compared to the styrofaom ones. Oh well, if you need a cheap/versatile alternative try them out, they were $2 ea.

Day 16

Ok so I don't intend on posting much more than once a week, however I was moving my babies from their room to the great outdoors (15 feet away) and noticed that the CC has already shown sex, last grow the CC and WW showed about day 24. I also looked back at some pics from the 1st grow (Only a couple since I keep getting told I don't have permission to view them) and compared sizes, they are smaller,which so far doesn't seem to support my theory that they got stunted due to being started in solo cups, which would suck. Oh well, we will see what happens at the end and if any difference is made.

Day 21

Hi, Quick update, not much to say or show just yet, it's morning of day 21, nothing notable yet. The only one showing sex so far is the CC, they do appear to be smaller still compared to the last grow and I was pretty sure they got stunted, time will tell. Thanks

Well, Nothing Fucking Good. we are dog sitting for someone my girl knows and the fucking dog just ruined everything, we have two dogs and are animal lovers, BUT not today.. The stupid bitch decided to chew up almost all of my plants, I don't have words to express how fucking pissed I am right now.. There are a few leaves left on each but even if they survive they won't be what they should have been, they will prob be even more stunted than the previous grow and that now fucks up my project comparing the two grows and seeing what makes a diff if any between my changes......................................................................................
