New Grower 3xDP Auto Blueberry in a 125/250W CFL SCROG grow

At day 23 they got another watering. I decided to give ABB#2 and #3 a light feeding with 1/5 grow nutes and root stimulator at pH6.5. The run-off was 6.5 for ABB#2 but 6.8 for ABB#3, I'm not sure why. Since ABB#1 is a bit smaller it only got root stimulator, pH6.5 in and 6.5 out.

Day 26

ABB#1 finally managed to reach the screen so I put it in its final position. I have the impression that it's more heat sensitive than the others. There was a bit of heat-wave over the weekend, temperature in the tent around 30C (86F), and it completely curled/tacoed its leaves while the other two didn't seem to mind. It should have the coolest position in the tent now so I will see if it picks up. Has anyone else ever noticed that some plants are more heat sensitive?

I also noticed that ABB#3 has started throwing out quite some pistils, I hope I get a bit more "vertical" growth though.

In order to avoid snapping more stems in the future I think I will pre-bend them a bit by tying them down with a string a day or so in advance before pulling them below the screen. It seems to work pretty well this way.

They also got a second watering. I gave them all root stimulator and 1/5 grow nutes at pH6.5 since I didn't see any signs of burn from last watering. This time the run-off from #1 and #3 was around 6.8, not sure what that's about. I think I will lower the pH going in a little bit next time.

Day 28

I gave them another feeding on day 29, still at 1/5 strength with grow nutes. I lowered the pH a bit down to 6.1 and the run-off came out at 6.7, I will keep feeding them at lower pH and see if I can get it back to around 6.5. Also, the plant that had a pH of 6.5 is now at 6.7 out with 6.6 in, so they're all going up. I wonder if they might be a bit hungry.

Day 30

I quite like the macro capability of the new camera, you can get to within 1cm of the plant. Hopefully I can get some good bud shots later.

The plants are starting to look a bit pale, I think I will bump the feed to 1/2 strength next watering, what do you guys think?
Unfortunately they're not stretching as much as I had hoped. The main shoots already seem to have slowed down. I was hoping they would reach the tent wall. The other shoots are still stretching though so I still have some hope of filling up the screen a bit more.

I wanted to scrog my bb too but realised it doesnt grow bushy enough for that so i lst instead seem to work out a lot better.

I think you might be right, the other reason is they went into to flower so early there wasn't a whole lot of stretch. There are quite a lot of budsites but at the moment they're all growing on top of each other. In order to at least spread them out a bit more and give each one a bit more light I'm thinking about moving the middle plant towards the right and let the other two grow in behind it so to speak. I'm hoping to utilize the light a bit better that way. The only drawback I can see is that it will make it rather tricky to get the run-off out, but I think if I wedge something below the tray I will be able to collect some of it. I might just do that tonight.

I decided to go for it and move the middle plant.

This is the picture before the move, it was very cramped in the canopy.

Here we are after the move. It was not too difficult, I lifted up the right side of the screen a bit and then just slowly moved it shoot by shoot and then followed with the pot. I think it looks much better now, it's not so dense anymore and each budsite has some space to grow. I'm just hoping for a little more growth so that I can fill up the center of the screen a bit more.

Just showing the light setup, if the main cola of ABB#3 decides to grow more there is still enough distance to the bulb.

It was also time for another feeding today, I gave them 1/2 strength grow nutes this time as they were looking a bit pale. The run-off is still on the higher side so I will continue with lower pH of the feed, this time it was around 6.0 going in and 6.6-6.7 coming out. It is a bit trickier to get the run-off out but it's perfectly doable. It might be time to switch over to bloom nutes soon, they are looking quite far into flower already.
