Hey everyone, happy to hear that there is a forum dedicated to the autoflowering world. Thought i'd dabble in this one now that I have my medical license and some coin to work with.

This is the setup I will be running. Going to be going coco-coir with perlite medium along with general hydroponics nutes with calimag and nectar as supplements.

Grow equipment:

5x Amnesia Haze Autoflowering from Crop King Seeds
5x Northern Lights Autoflowering from Crop King Seeds
600w LED full spectrum panel
7 Gallon Smart Pots
4x2x5 foot grow tent
Coco-coir + Perlite
General Hydroponics FloraTrio (Micro, Gro, Bloom)
General Hydroponics CaliMag
General Hydroponics Flora Nectar
General Hydroponics Rapid Rooters Plugs
General Hydroponics pH testing and up and down kit

As a result of the depth of my tent being only 2 feet, I think I might just go with a small grow of two northern lights for starters. Would growing the two strains in one tent make things complicated at all? Any input as to what other supplements or things I might benefit from using?

Growing two strains can be complicated in the fact that you have to make sure how each plant reacts to the environment you have set up along with reaction to nutes. You should be fine with those two strains and you are only doing two so it will be really easy to monitor that and as long as you don't pound them with nutes and keep everything at half strength you should be good to go. I would drop that pot size down to 5 gal at least(I wold go with three gallon myself) it cold get very cramped and vertical space will or can very easily get eaten up,now things are complicated. If that tent get maxed out (especially doing two sativa strains) you have humidity and heat to deal with and very little space to work with. I will sub and help out if I can. Peace

subbed:headbang::welcome::slap: Gave you some rep to start off just for being here and sharing a grow and finding the perfect place to start.

thanks. definitely feeling the support on this one. i am looking forward to it, especially having a 600w.

i was thinking of growing just two northern lights to start. that way in the event i run into any problems i can use a hands off approach towards recovery on one plant while engaging more actively in the recovery of another. kind of allowing for experimentation in the event something goes wrong, so that i can learn since it is my first grow.

also for the height, i was planning on doing screen of green to help me increase yield and keep height to a minimal. the height of the tent is 60 inches and the light is an LED panel so it does not produce as much heat as the typical grow light.

appreciate the feedback!

EDIT: in reference to pot size, i am following a guide that is essentially exactly what i will be doing in terms of my grow. i am hoping to follow things as closely as possible to ensure success on my first grow.

in the grow it was stated that they went with 3 gallon pots and had wished they had actually gone with 5 and likely even 7, which i decided to go with 7. they said this was so that they would have to water it less frequently as the coco-coir does not retain for much. do you think this would affect my grow at all in a negative way by having one too big?

Cool,a SCROG is the only way to do it especially with a 5 foot tent. It sounds like you have a plan which is good,I like the idea of doing just the two for your first grow, smart move too many people go for broke on the 1st one without realizing how frustrating it can be. It can make you first grow tough with space and using big pots inmho such as a 7 gal in a 2x2 tent,it does not leave much room for the unknown like will one stretch or will one be bushy as hell, now you have a major room problem. During flowering the humidity levels go way up so now you may have to fit a dehumidifier in there. If you don't have air flow and you need to drop an oscillating fan in there. I would go 5 gal honestly because you also have the trays under the pots which take even more room because they are bigger than the base of the pot. Auto's grow root systems crazy fast so you won't use (most like likely) the whole pot and a bigger pot means it is easier to over water. In flower if things get too crowded and moisture gets in there and it is bushy and crowded bud rot is a big possibility. This from my own experience and my tent is a 4x4 and I wish I had more money for an 8x8 so a 2x2 is going to be a little more tough controlling that environment especially if it is packed. I will check back to see how it is going. Peace!

Thanks for all your feedback.

I have been contemplating the switch back down to 5 gallons. I have even considered starting with one Northwr Ligjts Auto and starting a second shortly into flowering.

I have been trying to think things through and am wondering how people deal with the water that has been run off (10-30%).

How do people effectively rid of their run off water?

EDIT: tent is a 2 feet d, 4 feet w, and 5 feet in height.
