Hi all,

I have 5 Mephisto plants. (2 CDLC, 2 Toof Decay and 1 Fantasmo Express).
They were all started at the same time using the paper towel method and then into Root Riot cubes.
I top fed them until day 17, turned on my res and then left them for 2 weeks.
I'm running a 5 pot AutoPot system using coco, 1.5" clay pebbles and airdomes under 2x Viparspectra V600's.
Feeding has been identical for all 5 plants but I'm getting mixed results (growth rate) and one of the Toof Decay is looking a little different to the rest.

Before a left them, res was reading 1.7 EC, 22 degrees, 5.8 pH.
Environment is consistently 26 degrees, 65% RH.
They hit week 4 from germination yesterday.
I'm really confused...:pass:

Does anyone have any idea what's wrong with the yellow Toof Decay and how to fix it?

Any ideas why 2 are thriving better than the others?

Looking like a problem with the micros, I’m thinking iron, sulfur, and zinc -like looking. They kind of look similar.

But I’m a noob, the experts will be along shortly. No chance she’s sitting in a lot of water?

Hi @Chronic_ passion

Looks like the yellow one maybe under fed. The others all seem fine.

My advice would be try and bump up the PH just aa littl bit. Maybe bump up to ph6.0. this might allow the yellow one to take up more nutrients.

Yes a bit of foliar feed maybe. My favorite — this stuff is magic: Optic Foliar Overgrow.

:toke: -- different strains, even different pheno's can have different nute demands and tolerances,.. plus each pot is it's own little ecosystem and can easily drift off pH range vs. others,...

...hmm, this is pretty far along,... I'm leaning toward an S defc. (look at pics of this in the defc. Pic depot, highlighted section above this one)... over-all color fade, tops worst,.. S is immobile within the plant,... (N defc. starts bottom up always)....
So, now the "why",... each pot will also have different pH as well, likely, and if the TD is too acidic then the S could be getting locked out,... Unless you have a soil pH probe, getting the in-pot pH is a hassle.... In coco, usually you're feeding often to 15-20% run-off, testing that for ppm and pH, but in Autopots, you're not,... the rub is not knowin if this is a pH thing, or simple lack-of,... and assuming the roots are doing OK,.... the fix hinges on this pH info, feedin off pH pots will make matters worse, not better,... only thing I can think of w/o that pH probe is to disconnect that pot and run plain RO/Di water, unadjusted, though to get a couple cups of run-off collected in a clean saucer or something,... test the EC/TDS and pH,... meantime, I'd star foliar treatment with a dedicated micronutrient supp', like Earth Juice Microblast.... I like this best because many of the micro's are compounded with sulfate, covering the S base at the same time,... you will also need a wetting agent to help it cover and stick more evenly; get tops and bottoms especially (more stomata there),....

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate the help.
After my original post I emptied and cleaned the res and each tray. I made up a fresh batch of nutes then turned the res back on.
I also reduced the RH to 55% as per my chart and since then she's looking like she's starting to recover. There's definitely some colour coming back.
When I get time I'll get some foliar and apply too.

Again, thank you all.

Can this really be a pH issue?
This is a non-soil grow (COCO/Hydroton) with all ladies being bottom-fed from the same reservoir (Autopots)

:smoking: ayuh!... this is advanced to the point I'm not sure what all is in play here, but more than one thing I'll wager..... the only thing I can think of to cause this extreme of a reaction is off pH in-pot,... bad roots would show drooping,.. no burns, necrosis, spotting,... immobile micronute/secondary (S) defc., tops are worst for color loss,... S defc. is the only one that fades the whole plant overall like this, tops first and worst,.. N defc. is the reverse pattern because it's mobile,...

I guess we'll see if this fresh res' helps, but not having that info makes it alla dice roll IMO,...
