I hate dropping so much at one time, but things have been very hectic to say the least. We chopped the Candy Kush and Polar Express last week.
They spent a week in shoe boxes with shredded brown bags. Part of the CK 5 gallon stayed in a larger Amazon box.
With our low RH, 7 days is usually way, way too long, but we had some rain, and my timing was off with the final watering, so things were a little wetter than I would have preferred.
Today we cut the buds off the stems and jarred.
We opted to use the 1/2 gallon jars for this stage.
Here are the official, according to us weights. Note that even with a 7 day dry, some of the bud had more moisture in it than I anticipated. I dropped anywhere from 1 to 2 tenths of an ounce off the recorded weight to allow for excess water weight. I believe the weights to be very close to actual cured weight.
We'll start with Candy Kush, from the 5 gallon pot:
It came in at 2.4, adjusted down to 2.3 oz. It was by far the biggest of our plants, but the buds are very open and airy. I'll know more when I examine the root ball, but I suspect part of the issue was localized dry spots in the soil profile. The smell and stickiness did not suffer a bit.
The CK from the 3 gallon pot:
I recorded 2.7, but adjusted it down to 2.5 oz. This gal did have some foxtailing, and I don't mind that a bit. The volume of bud was less than her sister, but the weight was more. This gal produced very dense flowers, less popcorn than her counterpart, and I was constantly cleaning the trim scissors. Very, very resinous and the smell (like her sister) was pure candy bliss.
Polar Express, 5 gallon:
Again, very dense and sticky. I adjusted 2 tenths off for excess water weight for a total of 2.5 oz. Thick stems and a very robust plant.
Polar, 3 gallon pot:
Kind of an oddball, I think. More smallish to popcorn on the lower portions of the plant, but still very well-formed, dense upper buds. Height-wise virtually identical to her sister plant, but lacked the width. I took a tenth off actual weight, for a 1.4 oz yield.
I'm very pleased with the harvest, and with the forgiving nature of these plants. The wonderful smell of the Candy Kush still blows my mind!
So a harvest of 4 Auto Seeds, two different strains, and chopped at our preferred time @ 65 days, with a total yield of 8.7 oz. , or just over half a pound.
Half gallon jars:
@Autoseeds.com , I give your genetics a huge
