Hello All, I have a question about Ruderalis. Is all Ruderalis (Siberian,Mexican,Canadian,.etc) created equal? by that I mean will other sources of Ruderalis such as the stuff that grows in north america be just as forgiving to cold weather? The Ruderalis here around my town in Russia almost loves the cold.

The reason I ask is because I bought Kannabia Hobbit seeds and Knowing they are from spain (I believe) I don't think they are made with Siberian Ruderalis, which will love my cold balcony.
Thank you fellow autoflowers:Cool:

Damn good question, you get some rep points for that one! I don't know.
Please head over to the intro section and introduce your self.
Welcome to the AFN family!

Thank You for the reps n_n:karma Cloud: I posted a hello note in introductions.

That is a good question, one that I'm sure will interest a lot of people. Truth be told, I've never really thought about it. I would think that its just like any other sativa or indica. Indica is indica and sativa is sativa, all with different traits while being the same. I'm curious to see some different answers in this one!! :High 5:

I agree with you that they may all be the same. because they all seem to grow above 50 north. I love seeing so many patriots on this forum as I am one my self ^_^:Foxy:

Okay I think I may have a conclusion that all Ruderalis came from eastern europe. It seems that the ruderalis has evolved since the Soviet union. In order for it to survive the plant evolved to flower automatically by age not by photo hour. People then today brought Ruderalis to north america and is non native below 50 north......... :booya:Again I may be wrong. So I guss this would tell me that all ruderalis is tolerant to cold weather...hehhe

Hello there NikaV. And to answer your question, yes it does make a difference. I had the same wondering thought a year or more back and did a little test under 12/12 lighting. Knowing your Russian Rudy gets less light than say a Mexican Rudy.

I did a test grow with know rudy genetics and the auto made with Russian Rudy did great on the 12/12. But on the other hand, the Mexican Rudy hybrid liked the 20/4.

So as far as light length goes, I hope that answers your ?

Wow thank you Ripster for the info, But I am a little confused do you keep the plant on 12/12 the entire life or drop down to 12/12 from somewhere around 16 hours? I'm still new to Autoflowers hehe

On my auto's, I always run 20/4, start to harvest. When I did that test, I was running photo's. So I thought it was a perfect time to see what's up with the different Rudy strains....

These auto's love that 20/4 light schedule. I've played around with the times and it seems to be the best.... Plus, if you got the room, you can run a photo in veg. the entire time your doing your auto's. Then when the auto's are done, you'll have a nice big vegging photo plant that's ready for you to just flip to 12/12...
