You might also post in the live help area, or live stoner chat, even. Personally, I don't like the pyrethrins, it's plant sourced but a poison none the less.

You can ride it out and clean out your area when this crop is done. Deep cleaning. Then, use neem as a preventative next time, you can also drench it in. Another product I've seen guys recommend here is SNS-209. it's a systemic, so you water it in and will take effect a week or two later...good for next time but not helping at the moment.

Another product is SM-90. It has a volatile form of alcohol, and also sulphonated canola oil. Obviously will leave a residue.

Not sure what else you can do, guys can use a shop vac to hoover them off to help control until harvest...if not too late in harvest, then spray. There are essential oil type sprays also with like clove oil, thyme oil, rosemary oil etc, I don't know how well they work. I do know you can burn your plant leaves with them if not used as directed. They will leave a (flavored?) residue as well.

Good luck, man, they're a pita.

Double up on the cleaning and preventative next time, they're hard to eradicate, especially that russet mite is a hardy sob. :peace:

:worship:Thank you ! it seems to be spreading, is it worth taking the worst one away, the other plants only have small signs?
I reckon it's the pouch pots I am re using, probably a breeding ground.
I will, keep a watchful eye on them and maybe post a picture in the next couple of days.

...get me a better close up Doob', but based on this pic, the lighter stippling/patches are thrip damage... these are very mobile pests, and are notorious for dining and dashing from the scene of the crime!..adults can fly,... you'll need to get a proper pest spray,.. what can you get access to where you live? Neem/Azamax, pyrethrum, products with Spinosad in it (best), for foliar spraying,... google pics of them and go hunting to confirm,... and bring a magnifier, they are usually very small, 0.5-1.5mm for most species....

** Doob, I've asked before: don't open multiple threads on the same problem, it just clutters and slows things down for me,...

Ok will do, I will put up a better picture later. My grow shop looked at a leaf and thought it may be broad mite. He said that a spray will not do anything as the bugs are inside. They have pyrethrum which I was going to buy but he said that as I am only 3-4 weeks from finish it was not worth it.
Cheers,
Will post the picture on this thread.

Hi Waira, I just had a quick look at what i can get here in london. Pyrethum. neem and a few others that say "insect killer" not sure what is in them. I am only 3 weeks away and i am concerned that a spray will affect the buds. I had a good look for bugs but did not see any, if the broad mite (if thats what it is) is inside the leaf will a spray do the job? If it is thrips then a spray will kill them?
I will post a picture later when the light is better.
thanks

I had another look just now and i have seen a little whitish bug crawling on a leaf! I realy need to treat them today, i can get Pyrethrum or i can get a general bug spray or even neem. I am concerned that as i am only a few weeks away i will taint the buds.
Any tips by the end of the day re this will be greatly appreciated.
So many opinions i am not sure what to do. My grow shop said to "hang in there" as i am so near to the finish, another tip i got was a product called Azamaz which i can get easily, anybody here in the uk used that.
Any help as to what to do?

IT looks like i have these bloody things. I have had a look around and it seems neem oil sprayed on the leaves is one solution.
Anybody have any tips before i go down the shop to buy some, i may leave it today until i take the plant out and get a picture up
cheers

Do you know exactly what it is? If you're so near harvest, I'd be tempted to ride the storm and thoroughly clean afterwards and hope they don't spoil the buds. I could be wrong, but I'm sure some pests don't affect the buds.

thanks cat, i just got a repellant called "protector" its sold in lots of hydro shops here in the uk, it has pyrethrum in it. I am almost certain i have thrips, i saw one, also the new leaves at the top are coming out a strange shape, sort of crinkled. As you said i am so near the end that i will try to ride it out.
My next grow will include lots of preventative measures also i will have a good clean of my grow room.
thanks everyone i will try to get a picture up soon
