Hi folks. I'm not very knowledgeable about the desirable traits on LED lights (like how much blue/red light there should be & how many lumens output), so I was wondering if you guys could help me out in making a decision.

After reading a thread by Groffuwiwi (link) I decided against buying those expensive LED lights and decided to go for some Chinese wholesale ones instead.

I happened to find these, which in my opinion look pretty good for what I'd be using them for: 50W LED light

I was wondering though are they any good? I'd be buying 2x of them to put on the sides of my tent underneath my 250W HPS lamp (DS bulb) to get some extra light to the buds and flora :)

Hmm.. Don't know bro... If for supplement light I think they would probably do the trick... But you never can be sure until someone pipes up that has tried them.. Good luck with your purchase Billy.. :smokebuds:

Thanks man :]

Was also looking at 2 or 3 of these ones, with the 'X2' lenses. Opinions please? :)

Edit: Pretty set on getting those original UFO ones. 50,000+ hours per light, 50W output, 630/660nm red and 460nm blue wavelengths (which is ideal) and 1440 lumens of light. They seem to have all the desirable qualities, so unless someone can advise me on why I shouldn't buy them, I think I'll go for those ones :]

I think the best way to go is buying overseas, the U.S. vendors are marking up the LED lights way too high, I mean the prices are ridiculous. The kicker is all of the vendors selling LED's get them from China except for maybe a very few. But, they charge $1000 on up.

Just started a new grow over at Dutch Passion's corner if anyone is interested. 2x 240w Blackstars direct from China, lets se how they do...
