Ok so new to AFN i've checked out a few grows recently that have inspired me to post a journal.

So I have 1 Sweet Mango Auto and 1 Kalashnikova Automatic both by green house seeds.

They are in a 50-50 soil mix of Fox Farm Ocean Forest and Cyco (coco perlite).

My lighting right now is a 90w quad band (blue, red, white, and orange) UFO LED along with 4 42 watt (168 total) cfl 6500k 2800 lumens (11,200 total). They are on a 18/6, from 2pm-8pm (saves $ on electricity).

As of last night (when they woke up) i watered them with a small serving of FloraNova with a bit of rapid rooter I've been giving them since they had strong true leaves.

Today is 14 days so i figured starting a thread at 2 weeks is perfect. I've also uploaded some pics from before. The smaller plant is the Mango the bigger bushier guy is the Kalashnikova.

Thanks all advice and comment are appreciated.

Oh and i've definitely noticed a smell increasing around the room but no pistils anyone have any experience with autos starting flowering?

Looking good! another 5-10 days and you'll know for sure.

Day 21

Week 3

Plants are growing like crazy. I just got back from a 4 day vacation and was blown away by what i saw. The smell is soooo amazing not too pungent yet but definitely noticeable in the closet and tent.

Treated fairly well with some azamax going to keep it up for the next 1/2 -2 weeks depending on how quickly the bud formation is and how many more leaves are produced and my bet from how bushy these are is going to be quite a few.

Also I have done some research and im interested in some form of trianing for these guys, because i have a problem with lower branches not getting enough light. I'd rather not LST because how evenly they filled out will just block more leaves from getting light. I may not do any training at all just because of their short life cycles.

Like always all comments and critics are appreciated.

Day 24
The leds have been nothing but a disappointment so ive completely taken them out after a drastic drop in both plants appearance. I am running a total of 8 cfls now 2x68 watt 27k, 2x23watt 27k, and 4x42watt 65k. So thats about 22,000 lumens along with 350 watts. I will increase lighting as necessary but for right now this is more than plenty.

I'll upload more pictures in a few hours, along with how the autos looked under the led (bad!).

I do have one question, before when i arranged my setup i had to make sure to have the right mixture of 27k to 65ks but now that i have autos im thinking will having a certian spectrum help with budding or can i just throw any spectrum of lights in there and they will react to just the increased light?

Week 4 : Auto Mango, Kalashnikova Auto

Day 30

Plants are doing really well. A few days ago i finally sucked it up and bought a 400 watt HPS. My thread title is now irrelevant so if anyone knows how to change it i'd appreciate it. So now I have a HPS with 2 x 26watt 5500k cfls and 2 x 42watt 6500k cfls in order to provide a fuller spectrum. But the heat is getting a little hard to control if anyone has an suggestions please let me know.

I have been feeding them FloraNova, but lighter than suggested along with the fox farm soluble trio line right now im only using open sesame until the bud become a little more pronounced. If anyone has any suggestions about nutes for autos i'd be interested.

The mango (left) has stretched up a lot more than the Kalashnikova (right), i've been able to train the branches by pushing them down manually so they aren't blocked by the other bigger fan leaves.

Day 61

Been a while but there havent' been any replies so i keep forgetting anyways im harvesting the Kalashnikova auto in 5 days. The mango probably about 10-15 days.

The Kalashnikova had a bit of a nutrient lock up my ph meter broke but i flushed (15gallons 1 gallon light feed)2 days ago and fed with light nutrient yesterday. Resin production is really impressive for autoflowers, especially the mango. The Kalashnikova i'm expecting to be a decent yeilder about 2 -3 oz it has very large dense colas, especially the main cola.
