Lighting Auto seeds; candy kush

I have one seed planted at the beginning of this month in my small tent (2'X3'X5') as a Christmas present for a friend. Today I planted three more Auto candy kush seeds in my large (2'X4'X7'), all four in 3 gallon airpots with Pro-mix ultimate. The small tent has a Mars 100X3 old style and four 4' T5's for side lighting. The large tent has two bs240uv's and four 4' T5's for side lighting. I will follow my feeding schedule that seems to work for me with my set-up. Both tents have about 30 watts per square foot actual led light and four T5's. The small tent has agromax regular T5 ho bulbs (10,000k, 6500k,3500k) and the large has the pure grow and bloom T5 ho bulbs. I use the 10,000k bulbs to bring the seeds out and for the first few days only. I still have "night" temps in the grow space above 60f so the lights are on 20/4 in both tents unless temps in the grow space go much lower. If I can get these beans to pop by Wednesday there will be three weeks difference between the tents. Both tents have 6 inch duct booster fans (240cfm max) and carbon filters for extraction and 6 inch clip-on fans for circulation. Normally I grow 5 plants in the large tent but as my friend Chester has noted the branches seem weak in overcrowded conditions when the lower buds gain some weight.

I like the extra room in the tent and the filter works fine. The extraction fans are small and the filters last much longer. The grow space is my basement laundry room and so far the smell is controled. I have tied a small bathroom exhaust fan (70 cfm) to my dryer vent and run it 24/0 365. The grow room is neg pressure vs the rest of the house.

Day 1 for two of three seeds, the cold night temps might be the issue (62-65f). The 24 day old plant in my small then is short but healthy with excellent side branches. If the last seed in my larger tent is not up by Sunday I will replace it with a Sweet Seeds S.A.D auto or a CoC narcotherpy. I still use the old soak, poke and pray method for germination so I expect to lose one every now and then. I hope for plants about 24" and yield between 60 to 80 grams per plant.

The third seed has come up, this past Sunday. It has a damaged first leaf on one side but is trying to put out something. If it goes hermi or something I will kill it, until then lets see. The plant in my small tent is 28 days and just got the third feeding of nutes, 2 gallons of 15ml big bloom, 5ml grow big and 5ml kangaroots per gallon at 6.4ph. In my larger tent I switched the 10,000k T5 for the agromax pure par veg T5 and turned on the other bs240uv. Lights are at 30in , 18in for the late seed. The light in the smaller tent has been kept at about 20in, plant is about 12in now.

Day 31 for the plant in the smaller tent, last three pics. So far this plant is just what Auto Seeds said, short (less than 24", now 15"), fat with good bud sites. The led being at 20in didn't give much chance for anything else. I expect vertical growth to stop in the next seven days. The three seeds in the larger tent are doing good at 8 days, even the damaged seed (first pic) that is only 4 days looks better.

Day seven for the youngest CK (first pic) and day eleven for the other two in the larger tent. Day 34 for the girl in the smaller tent (last four pics). I was expecting vertical growth to stop by now in the smaller tent but since some growth is still going on and no resin is showing I gave 2 gallons of 15 ml big bloom, 5 ml grow big and 5 ml microbrew at 6.6 ph. The three plants in my larger tent are doing well and all have had their first taste of nutes, 5 ml of advanced cal/mag plus(4-0-0) and some superthrive at 6.4 ph. Hopefully by keeping the led higher (30" vs 20") I can get plants 24" or better. Even though the plant in the small tent will only get to about 20" tall the bud development looks excellent and I expect a good yield.

Day 39 for the plant in my smaller tent and she just got her first shot of bloom nutes, 10 ml big bloom, 5 ml tiger bloom, 5 ml microbrew, 5 ml kangaroots and 1/8 tsp of beastie bloomz at 6.6 ph. Vertical growth stopped on Wednesday and she got a gallon of 10 ml sledgehammer followed by a gallon of 8 ml cal/mag and some superthrive. This plant is only just over 19 inches but has some very good bud sites. I have been able to follow my nute schedule so far although some tip burn is showing. The other plants in my larger tent are 14 days old (center plant is 10 days) and got their first full feeding of yesterday, 10 ml big bloom, 5 ml grow big, 5 ml kangaroots and 5 ml microbrew at 6.4 ph. So far there is little difference at this time between the plant development in the tents, older plant was 5 in tall and 13 in wide vs 5 in tall and 12 in wide at 14 days, even though the LED (s) light was 10 in higher. The center plant has been feed 4 days early, maybe that will make some difference.

Thanks. The side lighting is new and I think it will make some difference. I have the bloom bulbs and they did make a difference last grow. The purple/violet is interesting. I don't know anything about light spectrums but I thought these T5 bulbs would help until I can upgrade my LEDs.
