New Grower Autoflowering @ F1 on photo/auto cross

The two topics are really interesting to me. I don't know why you are not allowing or answering the questions they seem wicked related. If it is what you want to do then put all the opinions and questions into another thread. I will go read it there. Thanks to the Mods.

Yeah, I didn't think I was off topic at all. In fact, I actually thought I was adding to the discussion - that's why I looked up info in my genetics book and wrote a reply for 45 minutes.

But, I guess we're only allowed to look at people's pictures and NOT allowed to try to understand how our favorite cannabis trait is inherited. The basic point of my reply is that we're seeing autos in f1- this goes against the simple mendellian inheritance patterns. So I put out several possible reasons why it could do that, and asked all the people who have seen these to post data so we can figure out what's happening. IMO, not off topic at all.

I was actually hoping the pages would be split up, one would be a gallery of autos on f1 (what i think the OP wanted) and one to continue the discussion, which was very interesting, and i hope it does get moved so it can continue..

Absolutely No Problem with you discussion..I Love it...but that was why I put RESULTS..in the first post.

The discussions are great guys... keep the dialogue up... it breeds better understanding and better breeders!

That Nl5 btw (by KS) was a cross I made over the summer .. I believe the majority of the fathers for it to be ALF#3 (Purple Pheno).... so they have wiz's genetics in them and that may well be a major role in his terrific magic instant auto from photos...

What we are trying to figure out is if certain crosses are more receptive to Auto crosses..

and alot of your autos have afghan heritage in them maybe there is a link
there.

up to now..I have had stupid high % of Autos @ F1..
we don't know if those % are high because of the genetics pool I'm working in..

if ALL Auto/photo crosses do the same

wiz could you put a list of photos you have used in crosses that produced F1's that autoed. did you get the same 1/3 as LBH, because thats roughly what I have seen on my F2's with a few different crosses, then been pretty much fully auto by F3. which again is contradicting what I thought I knew about nonaf to af.

we forgeting lots of strains show autoflowers like dj short F13, old time moonshine and some other of his work also strains like nigerian nightmare and thai and others strain the problem is most dont grow under 24 light and if the are in veg room (18/6light)and they starts too flower most breeders trow them away becorse they find in a not good mutation

In my experience when I made a cross with photo/auto, I get some plants auto, others photoperiod-dependent and curiously I found some that were semi-autos or how some people use to say: amazonian autos.
A good breeder tall me that to fix the auto genes we can backcross the f1 with an auto or we can work selecting the autoflowering descent and crossing them.
