I needed extra lights for my hermies and I couldnt find 6500 either. I just bought 5000 from Home Depot, worked fine. From all the reading ive done, topping an auto is not a good. Imo I would stick with lst, youll get great results with it if done right. Also, whats the light spectrum on for the blackstar? you might be okay if its for vegging.

Thats the scoop with my light its majority flowering spectrum but with autos i dont have much to worry about but i do add the cfls for supplemental light i would have the 6500k but like i said couldnt fond them only the 5k that you menchind i actualy still have a 5k bulb its gunna go in right now

Is this sketchy setup gunna burn my house down? 3 23w cfls < 1 75 watt incodessint right shouldnt be an issue i hope?

I certainly wouldn't do that in that old brass and paper fixture. Go to lowes or home depot and get the heavy duty light cord they have. http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc...3&langId=-1&keyword=clamp+light&storeId=10051 That and ditch the incandescent, it's not doing anything for you.
Another thing to keep in mind is that you have those CFLs so far above the plants that the light they are casting isn't even really reaching the plants. I'd keep them a foot away from your girls at the max.

Mr. piggy - thank you for stopping by i am all ears im gunna arange the lights properly and im on my way to home depo now i got 4 2700k 23 wats and one 23w 5k cfl wise but im looking to even the veg side of the spectrum out any advice besides more 6500k cfls ( which i cant find)
I raised the pot and lowered the lights notice the pantyhoes around the air pot to keep my soil in throughout the grow

That LED needs to be higher up than that, but the cfls are at a good spot. Keep that LED about 16 inches above the plant while it veges. Also, take the stocking off of the air pot, it's already designed to work how it's supposed to, your soil isn't going to flow out of the pot like water. Your girls looks nice and healthy, good luck with your grow!
Point taken i will be raising the led momentarily i just fed her full strength nutes for the first time ( used 1/4) and im feeling pretty good about this so far thanks, yeah i felt kinda odd putting it on but i haven't lost a grain so far compared to last grow having an absolute mess every time i moved it or took it out of the tent, i guess ill man up and cut that shit off haha

Or just in general for that matter?? My last few grows have been airy using the general organics - go box so i switched to TechnaFlora - Recipe for Success in hopes of better yield and more dense buds. Please any help on the topic would be greatly appreciated
