New Grower Bad Seeds

B16guy might have a good point, about not touching the young seedlings (with tail) when transferring from soak to medium. It could be part of my near 100% success (100% except for damping off in the pellets sometimes sadly) , I never touch them with my fingers, I use a pair of tweezers! Of course this requires a degree of delicacy so as not to pinch them, but if you have steady hands it's not too difficult. I soak in these little plastic containers, then when ready, pour the water out, grab with tweezers, ya want the tail pointed down so it can take a few attempts to get it in the right position when grabbing with the tweezers, then push down into the medium. If you've done precision electronics work/repair, it's about the same level of delicacy with the tweezers required lol :) Setup looks something like this: see two just sprouted successful Seedsman freebie Grapefruit Punch, and two ready for medium Sweet Seeds Red Poison :)

Nice thread to read after I just had an entire pack fail to do anything for me. I'll have to try some of these tips here. Out of curiosity, if anyone has ever had bad seeds do seedbanks replace them? Sounds like the OP got a no, but I was just curious how many people actually get them replaced.

Funny you should mention that Yo Yo I sent an email to the Joint Doctor when this happened to me . I suggested that it would be good p.r. if they replaced my seeds . They kinda agreed and have said they would replace mine . Time will tell and I'll keep you posted if it happens. It appears that because I live in Canada it's less complicated to replace them ??
