You can make EHO ethanol hash oil with everclear kind of the same process of Qwiso just everclear instead of your ISO.

It does work well if done it before if also used Everclear and organic grape sprits to Dewax

Got about 2 ops of small nuts and close grade a trim.

im harvesting my white widow photo by dinafem tomorrow so once that drys its run time hoping to have 5-6 ozs of nug and 2-3 ozs of trim to run in the coming days

finaly be able to update my purge thread with pics and get the vac purging how to thread up

What is dewaxing? Will you cover EHO in this thread, or is that a whole different process?

Edit: I was also reading that oil made with Everclear is safer than that made with butane. Something about butane forming crystals in your lungs. I didn't take the time to really look into it.

Dewaxing is the process of removing the Lipids or Fats that comes from plant matter out of your Oil.

So a quick run down on Dewaxing.

One of the ways i would do it when i dewaxed was i would Blast my BHO into a pyrex measuring cup and would hot water bath as much Butane out as i could.
i would then pour in my Everclear right into the wax thats purging. Pouring very slow as it will have a reaction as ethanol and Butane do not mix and the Butane will be forced out of your BHO by the Ethanol.
i use about 1/4 cup everclear for every oz of product i run or for every 4-5 grams of oil. Some will say more or less its just what i did.

Then i would take a glass stirring rod/stick and stir the wax and everclear mix untill there where no more solid pieces of wax left in our pyrex cup or beaker what ever you use.

once the oil and everclear are a nice golden color and its mixed well its time to cover your pyrex with coffee fitlers maybe 2-3 and rubber band to the pyrex. Making a make shift lid.

You would then stick in your freezer for 24-48 hours straight do not pull it out. Or you can speed the process up by using Dry Ice. This will cause your lipids or fats that your trying to remove freeze. You must work quick so you dont lose that cold temp.

Now for this next part you can use a Buchner Funnel with a micron screen or coffe filters and with a vac hook up so you can pull the liquid through.
Or you can lust let it drip. Id recommend making a dry ice blanket with a bandana or towel around the Buchner Funnel.

Or if you dont use a funnel have a mason jar with a coffee filter so you can pour your frozen liquid through the filter having that catch the fats while draining your golden liquid in the mason jar.
Also while it drips set it back in the freezer.

once your liquid is finished dripping it's time to purge the Everclear off.

and enjoy your fruits of labor

Ok guys got some decent trimmings some fan leaf needs pulling out and alot of small popcorn in there. Once everything is dry il be left with 3-4 ozs of trim and nug to run for the first run. Will be running this Wednesday morning.

Big container is about a 1/4 of my white widow photo i got going and the small container is a Mephisto Genetics blend.

not all the time it's mainly Starin dependent as some strains will stay a sap or shatter or want to bidder on you. It's a good chance you will have stable wax after purging off the everclear

Is dewaxing the same thing as winterizing? Does dewaxing make it a better quality product?
