Things have been a bit sluggish for the last few days. I don't know if it's something I did or if the Blumats just can't handle the high heat and low humidity, but the plants were getting thirsty so I had to resort to manual watering. They're perking up nicely but it still bums me out how the Blumats suddenly aren't doing their job anymore... It's probably time to look into the fancier Tropf-Blumats.
I also think the White Widow might be a bit of a mutant. She's really healthy and robust but after the second set of fan leaves she stopped growing new nodes. The existing leaves just got bigger for a few days and I couldn't even see the start of a new node. Last night she suddenly started growing the next node and it looks like this
So it looks like the two nodes are going to grow in the same direction. Also, branches are further along in development than on the Blue Kush. Funky.
I did some risk assessment by giving the plants a very mild feed a few days ago. There's some slight discoloration but overall it seems to have hit the spot. I've been keeping the closet door cracked open, effectively lowering temperatures from about 88 to 80. The plants seem to prefer the cooler temps so no surprises there.

Edit: I just noticed Blue Kush is showing pistils. A few can already be spotted in the picture.
Everything's going great with the exception of some shenanigans with watering WW & BD too much. :slaps: I gave them their second feed last night, just some Bio-Grow and molasses.
I got a new lens for my camera so I can get closer than ever before. I just have to learn how to properly use it first.
Blue Kush
White Widow (She's not growing straight for some reason... All kinds of wonky stuff going on with her)
Really bad news, folks. I just ran into my first hermaphrodite - and it's a Dinafem of all breeders!
Yup, the White Widow came prepared for everything it seems. I spotted two of these guys where the third node should have grown normally:
Thank god they haven't burst open yet...
Now I guess I'll just have to discard the plant... Fuck my life...
EDIT: I decided to germinate another seed. Fortunately I had one more White Widow left. It might be from the same batch as the hermaphrodite, so fingers crossed.
As for the hermaphrodite plant, I castrated her so I can keep her indoors for a while longer and figured while I'm at it I'd top her and see what happens. I intend to transplant her someplace outdoors where she won't likely ruin anyone else's crop. I just don't have the heart to kill her, I guess.
Sorry to hear about your hermy dude. I had that problem before and put them outside too. I just let both go. Didn't want to waste nutes on them. Good luck dude. Grow looks amazing so far. I'm about to start mine back up any day. Just deciding on beans for my 4th micro grow.
