Harvest & Curing Boveda 62%

Thats Funny,I just put another 10 Pack in my cart a lil bit ago.62% 8 Gram to tape to the top of my Mason jar lids.

Hey Bernie whats up man..? yeah these things are excellent to cure and store your dried and cured Buds.the 62% and the various numbers you'll see attached to certain pack indicates the RH it will maintain in a sealed space.Good for humidors ,cigars, herbs, buds all kinds of things.fruits n things too, dried n such."AFN smoke out"

How does they work?
I never really heard about them.

Boveda's website has a video showing how it works. Basically it's a saturated salt solution contained as a gel(?) within a permeable membrane. If the RH is higher than 62%, the solution will absorb moisture from the air. If less, it will release moisture.

If your environment causes it to release moisture more than absorb it, the packet will eventually become thin and hard (so I've read). For example, if it's in a jar of weed you open every day for your smoke. The packets can (so I've read) be rejuvenated by using it in a higher-humidity jar (for example, weed you're bringing down to cure level, where it will sit unopened for 2-3 weeks.). Or, wet a small sponge in distilled water and put it in a jar with your Boveda packs that you feel have been drawn down and could benefit from rehydration.

I've read the packets may contain an air bubble. For this reason, Boveda discourages using them in vacuum sealed jars. The vacuum could cause the membrane to burst. I've been vacuum sealing and haven't had a problem. But, I've read a burst membrane can ruin your weed. So... if you vacuum seal, you might keep the Boveda in a sandwich bag to contain a spill if it bursts. And/or, reduce the vacuum. (For example, I do 20 mercury vacuum units without Boveda. But, I keep it down to 12-15 when a pack is in the jar.).

Boveda has said they're working on their manufacturing process to eliminate air bubbles.

Hehe thanks for your answers guys, they sound nice.
Is there any way to tell how big of a container they can be used in?
I mean if we say a shoe box size container, would one be enough or should i use more?
Just to get a basic idea..
Maybe i should go watch their movie soon and see what its all about :D
