Harvest & Curing Boveda 62%

the 62% Boveda paks hold it at 62 RH"AFN smoke out" for quite a looong time too when container stays sealed.

just pre dry the flowers..but never really seen an instructional or a how to on this damn thing n Ive looked for trust worthy results n nadda.so pre drying makes a lot of sense, since even four packs would not be able to take up that much water..no way..not fresh cut.

Exactly....don't want them to burst and get that goo/gel over everything...that would be catastrophic.

I have one of the extra large with the 4 62% packs ready to go, I was definitely planning on using it to cure but was also planning to burp for the same reason Trap said.

and thats where Im wierded out cuz its always been said to dry it n vault it.I too was thinking of that but really not sure if I should like one a week er something.I really dont know cuz I really cant find anything good on the c vault.as far as specifics.soo, maybe ill just wing it...what else is new right?!LOL!"AFN smoke out" yeah TaNg said he had one bust open on em..I bet that totally sucked.Id freak out man..lol."AFN smoke out"

Seems like best bet for a test involving not opening it at all would be to "par-dry" it to at least 70% and let the Boveda's handle the final 8%...and to install more Bovedas than you think are needed so there is ample margin of error to protect against bursting.

yeah ill prolly open it once er twice in the next couple weeks just to kinda see whats what.but its perfectly dry as I like it.if you dry your smoke too much early on its gonna stink n taste kinda crappy n like hay.gotta maintain some of the oils n internal moisture more than very low levels."AFN smoke out"

What the heck?

This is copied from the Boveda site:

The solution is BOVEDA 2-way humidification packs. Boveda packs replace the act of “burping,” allowing the entire (exterior to the core) flower to be properly dried without over drying one area. This arrests CBN (cannabinol) development, making a more potent flower. Boveda is now the standard in cannabis flower storage.

So... jar it and forget it according to them! Unless you want more CBD.

I have this jar of Dragons that I cut down today. I trimmed them 95% done. They are in a 1/2 gallon Ball jar. I am going to put 4 of the small 62% Boveda packs in. Why not? Let's find out. There are 60 grams wet. The plant had not been watered for several days before cutting.

You're not talking about putting wet, freshly-trimmed buds straight into the jar with a couple Bovedas are you?

I personally wouldn't try to make the pack compensate for 30+% points of RH....I'm not sure that it can be construed that that is advisable from a reading of that statement....it may be partially implied but it's not explicitly claimed. It just says it eliminates burping...the stages of drying prior to burping during the cure aren't discussed.
