Hey guys,

I'm new to AFN and sure glad that I've found you! I'm currently starting a PC Grow with Critical Jack by Dinafem. Using 3 CFL's, scrog and LST.

My question is What light schedule should I use? 12/12, 20/4, 16/8?

Also, any other tips are much appreciated!

Show us some pics bro welccome. I go with 24 hour lighting to throw the scent off of growing via the electrical company Hard to see a pattern when the lights are on all the time, That is why I like the thought of growing autos indoors. 12 on 12 off is a dead giveaway over time

I use 18 6, and with CFLS you need not worry about the power company.

Welcome! I use 18/6. I've tried 24/7 under LED. It is too fast for me. With CFLs you could probably use 24/7. Good luck.

Thanks for the input Fairlynew. Aside from hiding my grow from the electrical company is 24h lighting the best for the autofem plant?

Also, I've been seeing a lot of Dutch Passion - Think Different strains yielding huge amounts, should i switch from Critical Jack - Dinafem to Think Different - Dutch Passion?

Hi Truth - Welcome to AFN!

I wouldn't recommend 12/12 for your autos. They are on a life and death timer so the more light you can give them, the better (within reason - everyone needs a little rest (in my opinion)).

What is "best" is one of those questions where everyone has an opinion, and it's not always the same. But a common one and my personal choice for Autos is 20/4 but 18/6 will be fine too.

I wouldn't worry too much about the elctrical company truth 3 cfls probably won't give the game away (and when i say probably .. i mean definately haha)

I will use 20/4.

Are there any tips on getting the highest yields? what is best LST, scrog, toping, super cropping?

lol - no worries

I would suggest sticking with LST to begin with. Topping and Supercropping are more advanced training methods best left to the auto pros. I've seen it all done, but only usually by experienced growers.

The problem with any high stress training like topping is that an auto needs time to recover - time to recover is time that it isn't growing.

LST is great training and great for keeping low heights and an even canopy.

Welcome to the family mate!
I've done a couple of grows so far. One at 19/5, the other 20/4. The extra hour in my opinion didn't make a difference. I'm sticking with 19/5, mainly to save a few pennies!
Dinafem will give you some great results, check out the links in my sig. There's a lot of people growing out Dinafem atm, check out some of their journals man.
