Extraction Cannabis Infused Honey

Good day,

I am having a go at a cannabis infused honey.

Half an ounce of bud wrapped in muslin along with 3 bottles of organic honey. All chucked into a slo-cooker (crockpot) on low for 4 hours, turning the muslin budbag every hour. Once the four hours are up I’ll leave overnight. In the morning I will gently heat a little then don some latex gloves and squeeze all the honey out of the budbag into the infused honey before refilling some of the empty honey bottles. Then the part where I self-titrate until comfortably baked!

I came across this recipe from Chef Derek Butt though am only using half an ounce instead of a full ounce.

No. But it is in heat for 4 hours (about 180f) so we’ll see. Trying to avoid decarbing as I live in an apartment block. Mind you I want to try tincture also so I’ll need to at some point [emoji848]

There is a little decarboxylase machine that is sealed that is supposed to be amazing. USA only though. No smell but I don't think it's cheap. I just start burning incense, then a week in I decarboxylase in the oven with 3 incense going. Works well enough. If you are known to burn incense people expect weird smells lol

i stunk up the whole street first time i decarbed,turned the lights off and went for a walk round the block.2nd time put the bud in a kilner/ball/mason jar with the lid on and not a whiff.

Lmao, thats some funny shit! I decarb mine in Turkey bags, no odor at all and I honestly think being inside the sealed bag like that, it decarbs better for some reason, maybe bcoz of the co2 that converts thc-a to thc is kinda locked in the bag and can't escape??? I always get such a nice terpene profile doing it that way, maybe you can try it out and let me know what you think also?? I do feel it give a better decarb, not sure how much since i don;t have any way to test that... but other ways I've tried in past, don't really seem to compare... Like I said zero odors also, so it's worth a shot...

Oh your welcome, I had to come up with a way to keep odors down... so I tried that turkey bag because they are very large... I still put foil & parchment down on the pan that i plan to set the turkey bag on, only so it's not touching the metal pan & throwing temps off ... It really works very-very well for decarbing, imo... you'll notice your buds will retain the nice terpene profile & also probably be stronger then other ways you have decarbed in the past(stronger,bcoz I feel they more % is decarbed) I really wish I had a thc tester to see if I am correct about this, please let me know how it works out for you...

Ardent Nova/Lift decaboxylator. Completely odor free until you open it afterwards. But by then, the odor is controllable. They’re spendy, though.

EDIT: And small...only about 1/2 oz. at a time.
