Hello everyone

Starting my secound grow now.

I have 2x125 W 6500K CFL (Huge CFLs)

& 3x105W 2700K.

I was wondering if I can also attach the 2700K 3x during veg or should i just do it with 2x125 w 6300 until week 5?

Thanks

Hi Cyklos,

My experience is all 6500k's will result in too little distance between nodes. I would run 1 2700k during veg and continue run one of the 6500k's during bloom. Good luck

I have to auto's under cfl plug and grow. Veg and flowering bulbs. Do I switch them for flowering and when?

I have used cfls in all my grows and I ways mix it up all the way through... I just use more of the 6500 during veg and the same with the 2700 during bloom. They seem to like the mix!

I run 6500k during veg and then add 3000k during flowering. plants need much more light during flowering but a mix of both seems to work well. if internodal distance gets too short during veg just raise your light a little.

interesting link but if you are going to upgrade why not go all the way and upgrade to T5HOs or PL-L55s. these are much more efficient than cfls and will give better penetration with a good reflector. and the price is reasonable http://www.htgsupply.com/Product-HTG-Supply-2-Foot-2-Lamp-PL-55-Tek-Lamp or if you have room for a 4 ft fixture http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-6-8-Lamps...56?pt=US_Hydroponics&var=&hash=item43cf4fab5c a lot more light and less heat for the same amount of power I build my own fixtures but have had great success with this type of light.my last photo grow yeilded 0.8 grams per watt dried and trimmed.

If you have a small area to grow. Cfls are really our only choice. They are compact and you can get a fair amount of lighting out of them. I'd love to go to other lighting, but my area is a small micro grow and cfls are really my only way to go.

The above link was not the link that I wanted to post. This is the post that I wanted to share.

Grow Weed Easy is my 2nd best grow site. It's not a grow community like AFN, but great info. They allow you to "steal" their info. http://www.growweedeasy.com/steal-our-articles

my grow areas are 2 closet one for veg and one for flowering. they measure 2ft (50cm)* 2ft*8ft so I have room for 2ft T5s or power compacts (PL-L55) if you have 2 ft of vertical height you could try placing bulbs vertically alongside the plants. just a suggestion.im no expert.I have that site bookmarked on my computer as well as this one http://www.buydutchseeds.com/growing-guide/#6 I find both very useful and full of interesting ideals
