Its my first attempt at Hydro but i think its going alright so far

so quick and clean to satisfy the community here are the deets:

Its in a 2x3' tent with a 300w china LED and a 125w cfl. (i had 2 LEDS in there but it was tooo much) Right now roots are looking good and im sitting at right about 400ppm using general hydro flora series nutes. The PH doesnt shift much between 5.7 and 6 so im happy with that. The air temp stays between 68-75F and im not positive what the res temp is but its cool to the touch so i happy with that also. I have my airpump running the airstone and the second hookup running the drip system via an air ladder type thing, no more watering for me

Oh yeah sorry to say thats not an autoflower, but it is, however, a Romulan from The Federation. Any criticism is greatly appreciated!

Hey guys long time no update, ill post some pics soon, just really nothing to report. "Bailers Booya" Its about day 14 and shes looking really good. The PH is steady everday at 5.8 im blown away:jaw:. Shes drinking about a liter of water a day and growing nice and bushy according to my LST. PPM is around 450 and im worried to up her food because everything has been so consistent. Im basically following the Flora grow chart and it seems to be doing alright. The res stays below 70F and the air temp is usually between 70-76.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

So shes got some nute burn, its getting pretty bad. I changed the res yesterday and now the PPMs are rising slowly but surely. Anyone got any tips?

Hey dude

if EC drops & PH rises --- underfeeding
if EC rises & PH drops --- overfeeding
EC PH stable --- sweet spot !

sounds like your spot on & there overfed ... drop EC by 0.2 & monitor .... if the EC still rises then its still to high

reason this happens is if the feed is to low ,she will consume it faster than the water ,essentially diluting the res & making it weaker

if the feed is to strong ,she will consume the water faster than the feed ,essentially concentrating the res & making it stronger .

Get her in the zone where she drinks & feeds at the same rate & the res will be stable as it empties.Then you know shes happy

Dwcocha beat me too it, I never knew if I was over or under feeding for my entire first grow, and it was weak. Follow that simple rule and ur plants frickin thrive! I'm on my second grow now, and I can already tell its a whole nother ball game.

My plan is just to top off with PH water and try and get everything back in the sweet spot, I had her there for a while everything was smooth sailing but then i tried to get fancy with the nutes and ended up screwing everything up. Thanks again for all the tips guys, i owe you pics

So im trying to keep her nice and short, i dont have as much room to work with as i like seeing how i need at least 24"s for the LED to not bleach the hell out of the poor girl (learned from my mistakes:thumbs. Also after the res change ive just been adding PH water when necessary and the PH is staying stable with a slight drop in PPM so imma just roll with that for now. FYI the ppm is around 660 and the PH is around 5.8.
