erm I didn't say 'that photon 6' did use Osrams dude.... don't even remember mentioning a photon 6 either. lol.
on the 'agreeing' side, yeah the website for that particular led does need a bit of adjusting doesn't it? lol. wild claims. well, that's what we are all here for. Debunking and pointing out.

I can't figure out what you're saying here. The only light reference I saw in your post was to the photon 6.

They all grow good weed (for the most part). But some leds you will need more watts of to get the expected results(not just going by when a website says "replaces 500w") I mean to point out the crap and if I'm wrong about something the let me know. I insulted fluence spydr when I first saw their products, but because they mistakenly listed their "ppfd of a 4'x4'" as ppf(1m2). It's hard to filter through the crap sometimes, and I came from a forum where mentioning a non sponsor led gets deleted. So all you see is wonderful mars hydros. Where the reps assure you a mars 400(185w) replaces a 400w hps lol. Until you rip their models apart and see the budget eBay ones have the exact same components for half the cost per watt.

Even on this forum, there's a following for a $500 75w 40% efficient light...

you cant work out what im saying? re read my post a bit slower then without the led rage glasses on. and oh please. your flogging a dead horse here bro, it wont get up and run for you. lol repeating my post doesn't prove that I said that photons 6 use Osrams... everyone knows they don't lol.
being an owner of plant photonic Osram panels myself I find that accusation a bit ridiculous.
move on shall we?
yes your point about the other sponsored leds. bang on. most sensible thing you've typed so far. people make some ridiculous statements about their leds and I yawn again,. nothing new.
so jab the fire as much as you like bro, I can tell you aint a happy pappy about it. lol.
takes me back a few years on here,,maybe you were here also? during the led wars. lol.
all a joke. but then again, there was a lot of gullible people that didn't do their research, easy prey for greedy middle men suppliers,. so,. I aint against you, im with you on that one. totally, Im just saying that the led Disk bought isn't that bad for that price and warranty.
unless you have some alternative reason to continue your pointless debate?
im sure if its really shit, Disk will feed this back to all of us lol.
Time will tell.

No rage goggles my man. Friendly vibes here. I try to toss a couple lols to not sound so serious, but I try to keep my posts clear and informative. What I'm saying is I can't understand that snippet, and I'll be honest I may just be too smoked up to understand it right now. And sometimes I may have a grumpy day, but who doesn't?

Slapping together an ROI calculator right now, or trying to :D Alot of times high end leds aren't a good choice for people. Cheap electricity and temps fine, I even say grab an hps, they're cheap and proven to work. I'll probably even try to setup a vertical grow myself in the future with the old hps gear.

It's editable, still double checking everything right now but I think my formulas are right.

yeah same bro. we are on the same level here man, seriously. greed pisses me right off especially when it comes to growing meds. so yeah I agree, the information presented on that particular website is very misleading.
even the photon 189 states the size is 65cm by 65cm? noooo it isn't,. ive got an old BSLED SP112D kicking around somewhere, exactly the same, but red. older,,anyway its smaller than that,. 45 x 45.
the led disk has got is a improved version of the sp range, improved via better fans, power drivers, and one more led in the middle. lol. wow. lol.
but again, compared to most leds in the same price range, what ive seen it can do is far more impressive, and yeah we also tested the mars II range. .. no comment. lol.
it did ok. lol.
but there is more to reviewing a led then what It can grow, as stupid as it sounds, noise levels, heat levels, etc. etc. that's why I prefer the PP. leds. simple,. cool. silent and does the job.
but if i only had a few euros to spend, out of all the choice i have, i think i also would choose the photon. only through experience and other features, 5 year warranty can't be sniffed at.
and i know it is honoured as i know a lot of growers with those leds (and the SP leds from whence they came)

i will also add that variety is the spice of life, even with leds as my friends all have different units, we never bicker who's is best, as the smoke they all grow is about the same anyway.
just different quantities and time taken.
but we all end up in the same state after all. lol.
imo for his buck he's got a good led and lets pass the pipe of peace on that.

I point away from the Mars 2, the eBay ones (mars300) are half the cost per watt. ($65 shipped here in the states for ~135w)

I point the photon 6 out because it's priced similar to high end fixtures. (Over $2/watt) but there's nothing that points to it being worth that. For $2.5-3/watt here you can get 50%+ efficiency at the wall(2.4umol/j +) with cob lighting, or even high end mono. For $1-1.5/watt you can build that efficiency in a Saturday afternoon.

Long warranties don't mean much, unless they replace old chips after x hours. 5 years @ 24/0 is 44,000 hours. You'll be at 50% brightness by then lol.

yeah I get ya. well, you may aswell be saying the same about HGrow leds then aswell cos they're the same as photons lol.
<that will put the 'cat amongst the pigeons' again> Both of which are originally bought from Bsled Bysen anyway,
obviously changed to suit the suppliers requests, ie the colour. All the same shit just a different smell. lol.
getting back to the main subject tho, regardless of what the bs marketing says,
in my experience of it, the bysen hgrow bsled photon type leds grow pretty well.
and that's my main point.
DIY leds are excellent tho dude I will admit, ive seen some fantastic grows using home made leds.
but for a beginner in the led field, that led isn't a bad start, better than most for the price.

for now, my temps are pretty constant 27c and hum 50-60% ,and led is pretty cool after 48h constant use,my biggest problem is to center it coz i hang it thru rochet ropes 4 of them, and lime i cant figure even hight for 4 of them, i have filling that two on the left side holds whole weight of led.. And yes i dont know if that is any importance, but my eyes hurt like hell after lookin at the plants, not the leds!!! led is pretty silent, and cool, we will what it can do..

If you've got a level I keep one handy when hanging lights at multiple points. And just try to keep tension even. Or use some of the wire hangers or chain hangers to connect 2 points together, or even all 4, then share ratchet hangers.
