Lighting CMH conversion kit

Is anybody converted over to CMH or is it better just to buy the whole system new? I'm looking at this kit.

I guess another question would be does anyone know if I can just get a conversion socket put a CMH bulb in and run off a metal halide ballast

hi buddy , you cant run cmh bulbs from a metal halide ballast .

That's what I'm finding out at least not a digital ballast

Phillips are now doing a 860w cmh to 1000w magnetic, low pulse MH ballast retrofit!

considering these ballasts are cheap as chips, looks like I will be going this way for sure!

also 330w for 400w MH ballast and 205w for 250w MH ballasts

I am looking for a way to do it 2, some say it cant be done...

So the bulb will be 330w but runs on a 400w magnetic/digital ballast? I got a Gavita ballast that can be switched to 300w/400W/600w/660w for HID/MH bulbs and look for a way to use Phillips ceramic buls on it.
