Hey eggmansky, I was wondering about your northern lights grow from before, did you defoliate yours during flower or periodically or do the fan leaves fall off to make that nice layout of the canopy? It seems a lot of the grows I look at that the plants magically end up with less fan leaves and just beautiful big buds but I am unsure how to get there since mines are SUPER bushy at this point, starting to think its because I have them all cramped up. Anywho definitely going to sub up to this thread as im interested in doing some AK-48s down the line. Nice setup by the way, the handwater is beating me slowly and I'd like to get on that dripper action.

Hey Kav,
I've done 3 Northern Lights (very frosty ladies, all...and can take a beating...very easy to grow), One hydro-drip, one in coco w/perlite and one completely organic using RO water. I began defoliating at week 9...lightly. A little more aggressive week 10. Take a week off...then when I've got clear, plump trikes, I begin stripping ALL unnecessary fan leaves. Northern Lights seems to thrive quite well with this method. From what I can tell from experience, they may ripen more SLOWLY using this, but more EVENLY. Meaning the entire plant gets cloudy trikes with a smattering of ambers.
The AK48 popped in 2 days.
